    I was the same to be fair.. still am to a degree . So what I do is see a therapist regularly who works on imbalances by using various techniques as needling ,manual therapy, shock gun and that & then I further have to do a load of rehab work to strengthen muscles like QL , obliques & practice breathing techniques.
    Mobility work and warm up drills are specific too .

    To add to the brilliant advice Meg has given , the triceps do crossover to the lats from an anatomy standpoint.
    So I’d avoid any elbow flexion and keep my arms locked . Because as soon as fatigue builds up on the lat we unconsciously bend the elbow and as a result the triceps which are next door tend to take over .
    So keep an eye on the arm & make sure it remains locked out through the entire range .

    UPPER
    Lowest weight this morning, 95.6kg after rest day . That’s 0.4kg below the cap . Happy with this as we can just push for legit condition from here .

    Session this afternoon was better than expected. Started a bit sluggish during warm up but as soon as prepare pro kicked in things were flying . Volume has been slashed by 1/3 so that felt good as well.

    Steps tilled in, we can now relax , watch a bit of telly and get an early bed . I love Saturday nights because it’s the one night I don’t set an alarm and I also have a fresh pair of bedding too . 😊

    The arcing motion of the pivot press will mean that the resistance profile of the exercise changes as you press to lockout

    As you press the weight the resistance increases. 45 degree press remains constant throughout

    I would use 45 degree if you want to bias quads .. I like it after using a machine like a pendulum squat then move onto it to finish off what’s left in the quads

    Awesome pull session this afternoon again with Kuba . We did film the session for the site and should be dropping anytime next week .
    We went into deep detail of set up , execution, upper back prerequisites and lat prerequisites alike .
    This one will have much value as we double teamed it .
    Personally my session was very good . Was happy with performance across the board .

    DELTS & TRIS
    Hey guys , so back in with kuba and Meg today for delt focused push . Awesome session. Even thought Performance held , fatigue started creeping up towards the end of the session a bit, so we are keeping an extra eye on the volume across the following session.
    Pull tomorrow so we will definitely be cautious .
    I have really enjoyed the last two sessions up at ultra flex . Me and kuba really complement each other and therefore almost complete each other.

    Back in tomorrow for a pull 😉

    Hello Oli, I would keep pushing up towards a surplus and see what happens . Just keep assessing week by week .
    Performance, digestion, sleep , body composition. If these all allow if keep pushing , holding, once weight settled , assess again and see .
    Nothing too aggressive, just slow and sure . That way you can give yourself a longer runway to work with .

    I echo what Clare said . I actually did the same this afternoon. So one set of leg extensions, to try challenge the quad in it’s shortest position whilst still fresh , to warm the knee, potentiate the quad at the same time and to mentally prepare for the compound that awaits . Just 8-10 perfect reps .
    After I went onto a hack followed by a leg press then came back to a leg extension again loaded it in the lengthened and altered the rep range to 12-15 .
    This feels perfect for me as I don’t feel like I’ve taken away from the compound and I can still come back to the leg extension after my heavy stuff .
    There’s no right way to do it , but to do what feels right for you as Clare states above . 🙂

    QUADS
    Weight held at 97.5kg . Visuals sent to Jordan & he is happy once again. I think I’ll have an adjustment either today or tomorrow as he asked for my diet & drugs .

    Cracking session this afternoon at ultra flex with kuba and Meg . Filming for his you tube channel. Kuba competed a few weeks ago so is still not back to full volume yet . This made it a perfect session for me to jump in with him as it’s not overkill . At this point we are chasing quality, not quantity.

    Kuba had a more hamstring focused day so we just cris crossed as the session went on but I had a spot and he took me through each of my sets ..It is important at this point you are with someone who’s on the other side and can spot your blind spots and carry you through them .

    Perfect day . Tomorrow we rest and then back at it Wednesday with kuba again for delt focused push .
