    Initial thoughts is this split will be a bit too demanding recovery wise as you are also playing cricket 🏏. Have you run it yet?

    Sunday – upper

    Monday – lower

    Tuesday – off

    Wednesday – cricket

    Thursday – upper

    Friday- lower

    Saturday- off

    HAMS & GLUTES
    Decent session this afternoon at FLF. Very happy with performance, very happy with the RDL . It moved absolutely perfectly.
    It’s one set so I go 8-10 reps one week & then I go 4-6 every other week.
    That way I can really prolong the progression runway & also take this dodgy hip .
    Everything else was marvellous 🤩.
    I already feel fried from that session so I am very much looking forward to my rest day tomorrow. 🙂

    DELTS AND TRIS
    Perfect session this afternoon. Everything moved very well. I’ve reintroduced the JM press back into the plan and my elbows felt stellar after two sets .
    Still kept reps at 12 plus for safety.
    Very productive day on the office , we move 😊

    Well why not do both and take everything there is to be taken off the table.
    Because even with your lower body example we still do squats and leg extensions as they both challenge the quad differently. Even though the squat and dip are compounds movements and they will inevitably produce more force .

    You cannot fully isolate the triceps alone in a dip . You can only bias it . A dip is a compound movement which means more than one muscle will be working , so at the bottom of a dip no matter how upright you are, you’ll feel your pec just as a result of the position you are in .
    It’s not a bad thing to be honest as everyone I know could do with a bigger chest , lol 😂

    Don’t worry , after the dip go do your tricep extensions and all to further bias the tricep .

    If your legs are a weak body part , personally i would go something like :

    Lying leg curl x 2-3 sets
    Leg extension x 2-3 sets
    Cybex hack x 2 sets
    Leg press x 1-2 sets
    Adductor x 2
    Split squat variation x 1 high rep set.

    Off course this volume is recovery dependent and you can adjust it accordingly.

    I’ve had a busy day . A good day . I have rested from training today .

    Tomorrow we are back on the saddle with delts & arms .

    Looking forward to two days back to back training 😊

    Hello team,
    So yesterday was a full day of rest . I had admin to do in setting new clients up and that , but apart from that , just nipped out to do some steps which are quite low at the mo.

    This afternoon we hit quads..I was a bit worried based on how my knees felt last week after pressing, but they were up for it today & we had some decent work done . What I plan to do is tag 2 sets of leg extensions in on ham/glute day that way my quad volume is littered in the week & it’s not stressing my knees massively on quad day .

    That being said, week 2 of prep is going well so far . 🙂

    Hey Andrea , you don’t have to squat twice ..unless you have a machine or pattern that fits well or one that you get on with .
    So options here are :
    You can vary the rep ranges so on one you are really loading it on a lower rep range and on the other rotation you are pushing towards a very high rep range , say one all out set in the 20-30 rep range
    , but have the leg press before the hack and prioritise loading that heavier .

    OR

    Just leave the hack out of the second rotation & focus on a heel elevated smith squat which is great for quads too . 🙂

    A much better session than Thursday .Loads are moving nicely….and we are happy…

    A few of the movements are aggravating my triceps so will make adjustments next time . 🙂

    I had pneumonia which is pretty much similar symptoms.
    Like any illness , you have to be patient with the body, let it just heal in its own time . The body is ready when it’s ready.
    You’ll be skewed from a cardiovascular standpoint and it’ll take a while for you to get back to your normal fitness levels .. but that’s fine 🙂
