Personally I prefer working with raw weights . But as clares pointed out, all that matters either way is how consistent you are that matters.

Awake all night , didn’t go to bed till 4:00am .jet lag is a bitch..
But I had to get a session in today, so push it was .
Very good session in the aspect , body feels really good. Shoulders ,elbows all feel fresh.

It depends on the goal really. On a back off set if the goal is too true mechanical failure then IMO, I want to take the reps continually non stop to the end…I’d sometimes stop for 2 breaths max. But that’s on occasion. The longer you take then it becomes a widow maker or a cluster set. Because for instance you stopped for 5 breaths get an extra 2 reps, then another 5 breaths , you could squeeze out another 1 or 2 reps.

I had significant knee pain & couldn’t do any squatting variation last season . I opted for different leg pressing rotations. Whilst I doubled up my circumin doses & had loads of treatment around the knee which was actually the hip causing it.
But whilst away from heavy squats , I incorporated DC stretch sets in my training . So I’d have 1 set every leg session. It started with a 5 second pause in the hole, reduced to 4 once comfortable to add more load & over 12 moths I’ve worked backwards till I’m back squatting.
Obviously with the stretch sets they are super light as the goal is to really stretch the quads in the short position, then literally driving up with no inertia at all, as a result there’s less strain on knee, if any.
Execution wise, you’d take it to a depth where your hamstrings can squeeze against your calf & drive from the quads only

Ste, I’d stay away from squats completely until you’d addressed the problem completely. I’d then in your case start with body weight.
In terms of leg presses I don’t know what you got at your disposal?
I have 4 different leg presses in my gym hence the ability to be able to rotate between.

leg press wise at the gym is a seated pin loaded leg press, watson 45 degree leg press that can be single leg or both leg, and a vertical leg press.

Great stuff!! At least with 3 at your disposal you can run 3 rotations.
No I didn’t change loading . I kept them same as load/back off as it was my primary lift after a hamstring variation.

I’ve been out done a food shop and ready to get going. That’s one thing I missed….my own cooking .
Tomorrow we get back into training.

Anyone used Prime equipment before?
I would have to say that the extreme row isn’t the best price of kit from prime . Far from it!because of the movement path, it makes it very hard to isolate the lats.
You have to sort of add a pad on the seat to align yourself optimaly & you then have to be very internally cued.
This is one piece of kit where a lot of people hit upper back with an illusion of targeting lats.
So be very careful. Their pec dec I’ll go as far to say it’s the best in the game . They nailed it.
Their leg extension is very good as well.

Hey guys I’m still in NYC…haven’t trained much of I’m honest & that’s just how I wanted it..take time off mentally and physically. Once I’m back on Sunday, we will hit the ground running and there’s no looking back from then. I already feel fresh & revitalised.

No issue at all my man as the rest gave mentioned above. If anything it’s a very optimal way to keep progressing.
The movements could just be 2 totally different ones. I.e
Push 1: incline machine press
Push 2:seated machine press
And honestly the more equipment you have at your disposal, the more rotations you’d get away with, the more optimal your training would be. I just rotate lifts once rinsed..I did the RDL for 12 months straight .
