    Sup mate, i really enjoy following your training, and i have a question about this, i know, volume is totaly adjusted per individual, but you have any starting point recommendation, like sets per workout/week to start, analyse and adjust from that?

    Hello vin , thank you .. I start with the most minimal amount of volume and then build up . Say for instance of legs

    2 hams

    2 extensions

    1 leg press

    1 hack

    1 lying ham .

    2 calf

    That’s what I started with 7 weeks ago . I’ve already added a set on seated ham and another set on lying ham as I need to bring them up . The rest is still as is . I am progressing well and my legs already look way better . In fact better than my upper .

    But at some point I’ll have to do more , I’ll have to add a set on that leg press .. I follow the same pattern on the other leg rotation.[/quote]

    Only add what I can recover from ..that’s the litmus test . If I can recover, then I can progress…right.

    Well it depends how you got on with the initial set up . Did it work ? What were the pros and cons in relation to your situation.

    That would then give us more rationale to make adjustments

    i was just referencing whats first so like heavy upper lighter lower etc i have been doing it for quite a while and im enjoying it I’ve just switched it from doing bicep curls on fb upper first i now do preacher curls because i was finding it hard to progress on normal curls without breaking the form and just didnt know if i was better of doing cable curls on heavy upper days and lighter lower and then preacher on lighter upper days and heavy lower. Im doing this every other day so i get a frequency of 4 days or 3 days a week

    Ye that sounds like a good idea on curls ..I’d give it a whirl

    Rest day today, I was out teaching at the most recent internship all day ..so that was taxing as legs are sore from yesterday. Lol ..but a lie in tomorrow will make up for everything before we go again tomorrow

    Hey dimitri ,
    IMO you can keep this set up as it is but then maybe throw an arm day somewhere and that way you can balance other body parts too ..and keep the JM PRESS and maybe add a weighted dip in the full body 1 .

    I echo Michaela’s sentiment above .. doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome is insanity .

    I would address the problem first as opposed to finding a way around it , as that’s not worked before . So changing split is not the answer .

    Seeing a therapist/physio/Osteo would be helpful initially to pin point why this keeps recurring. Once addressed we can talk about rehab and splits .

    What a session …the pump was sensational . All movements progressed ..I mean all of them . That’s always a great feeling as that’s one of the prerequisites of building muscle . Onwards and upwards we go .

    Rest day here today .. legs are absolutely battered from yesterday session so today as a rest day was welcome.. work and a bit of a nap this afternoon. Early bed and we have upper to prepare for tomorrow
