So if it’s your back you want to bring up, train it at the start ..if it’s chest , train it first

They are all different movements . It’ll depend on execution but the unilateral pulldown & the unilateral horizontal row should target the lat and T bar row the upper back ..are you progressing?

Upper session today was a go .. everything progressed across the session and I felt very strong . I generally come in feeling stronger on a Monday and up for the session .. and I was up for it .. happy days

Not to discount SST , but unless you are as advanced I’d train with straight sets as hard as I can , get strong as I can across all rep ranges and voila ..new muscle

This is preference my friend …. Personally I’d have 2 or 3 rotations..when it’s 4 I think you are waiting a touch too long to do the fourth one and not getting better at the skill acquisition part of it

hi thanks for the reply i usally work in 4-8 rep ranges im only a year and a couple months into training and honestly i just wanna get bigger and get alot stronger
I feel it’d benefit you working across all rep ranges and aiming to be stronger if getting bigger is the goal .
So you can either vary rep ranges between sets or take the approach of doing heavy upper (low reps) and light lower (higher reps) and alternate between the two

We summed up the week with a lower body session… it started slow but after 2 scoops of DNFM we managed to not only do some work but to progress everything.. so I was very very pleased 😌.

Cracking session this afternoon at the engine room . All movements feeling good , all movements progressed and Oscar is a happy boy .

The volume here looks ample to me . If you struggle finding a sweet spot , I’d stay away from intensifiers initially and just do straight sets until you are sure you can progress consistently and meet the recovery demands of current volume . Even then intensifiers during a diet phase isn’t advisable as you’d already be in a deficit anyway so anything like that would only cause more stress .

Adam has nailed it . For me it’s setting up goals in the morning , prioritising them and thinking of potential pitfalls that might pop up and how I would overcome them.
Then in the evening assess whether you hit all goals . If you did , great and if not find out why and go again the following day .

Upper
A great start to the week training clients all morning then hitting a fabulous upper session this afternoon. All lifts progressed and felt very very strong .
