    Great would 2 sets of 6-8 and then on rotation two 2 sets of 8-10 be a good start maybe?

    I used to have two sleeps between legs like set out above and a lower day there wasnt much issue regarding my back it was more my knees got saw at times but if I cut out the lying hamstring curl RP and db stiff leg would you replace them or completely remove them?

    How many sets on density day would you say to do on RDL or SLDL, rows, lat pulldown, Smith squat or leg press

    Just keep reps standard across the board . So if it’s 2 sets , maybe do a 6-9, 10-15.

    So either way you did have issues , as your knees felt sore . I would leave the lying ham , just take 2-3 straight sets, then get rid of the dumbbell lying leg curl and maybe do one set to start on the DB SLDL .

    On density day do pick your movement of choice based on your needs . So if it’s erector thickness and general back development you are after , I’d pick the SLDL . If it’s hamstrings, I would pick the RDL & place max emphasis on pushing the hip back to challenge the hamstrings at full length .

    I would then favour a leg press over a smith to give your lower back a bit of respite after a heavy hinge .

    What would you to replace the intensifiers – straight sets ?

    Any recommendations on what volume you believe would be best

    Regarding the lower back loading is that due to having sldl or db in on leg day as well as density day ?

    Yes just straight sets to start .

    I’d start with lower volume and if recovery permits, only then would I adjust volume.

    You have back BB back squat , SLDL dumbbell in one session, then in 2 sleeps you have BB SLDL/RDL and a smith squat . I think it would be demanding . You’d be able to run it for a while but as you get stronger it would defo cause recovery issues which would potentially shorten your progress runway ..

    Hello Andy ,
    This seems a bit overkill on volume to start . There’s a bit of junk volume that I don’t think is necessary and getting rid of it would not only allow you to train with a higher intensity but would also allow you to recover better . For instance having a lying ham curl & a DB lying ham in the same session .

    Also it will be challenging and very demanding to recover with the amount of lower back loading you are doing per week?

    And as Joel mentions here , I don’t think there’s a need for intensifiers like drop sets and clusters as they’ll only increase recovery demands.

    REST DAY
    90.6kg this morning… so down almost a kg .. rest day today so kcals significantly lower . Cardio done upon wake , steps through the day and all ..

    Bed time .. big upper session pending

    5 weeks out today …cardio done upon wake , work steps and now bed .

    Weight up 91.5kg again ..:( body is fighting so food down again & we push harder .

    It’s been a good day , training week my better than I thought to be fair. So happy with that . Managed to progress the SLDL which was massive for me .

    Tomorrow we hope for a drop as i have not only felt empty but that session and an hours posing has left me dead .. early night and much deserved rest day tomorrow 🙂

    Spent the day travelling back to Manchester from down south .. once here went straight to do cardio at the gym , then steps … catch up bits and bobs & we are now preparing for bed 🙂

    Sometimes sensation is just that , sensation and not an indication of how accurate you are . So in this case if he is strong and training safely I won’t overthink anything. I’d carry on getting stronger then over time see if the adductor grows . Chances are they will 🙂

    Hey everyone so hit a new low of 91.3kg today

    Which is crazy cos I stopped doing cardio and took a deload last two days and weight dropped by 0.6kg

    Deload needed as training intensity started to suffer which is non negotiable for me

    Just goes to show again why it’s important to listen to your body

    Check in pictures from today below. Very happy so far how I’m looking will continue to chip away not too far now

    Yeahs it’s crazy how sometimes just a rest or a drop in fatigue can improve the look ..

    Hello people , it’s been a good day today . I woke up slightly heavier , at 91kg . A bit of a mind fuck but the look was sharper so jordan was happy .

    I have had more than normal bowel movements than normal so let’s see what happens tomorrow. I am at Jordan’s so it’ll be a different scale but either way I’ll stand on it and see .

    I had a decent session of delts and arms at cojos earlier and after , jordan and James had a look at me . Both were very happy with where I am & jordan was actually quite surprised which is a very very positive thing because it is hard to please jordan .

    Spent the rest of the evening catching up with both . James drove back to London and it’s just me and Jordan chatting and catching up and is super nice .

    Rest day tomorrow so I’ll travel back up north:)

    Thanks for checking in. Everything is going well expect for lying hamstring curls I just can’t seem to progress with these been stuck on the same weight for a few weeks now.

    1 day on 1 day off is working well but I’ve had a few days off as my car broke down and no way to the gym unfortunately. Apart from that all is good

    I’m up just shy of 10kg since 8/4/23!

    They’ve been on the plan for 16 weeks!

    Here’s my number from start to present:

    Week 1 50kg x 8

    Week 16 64kg x 5 1/2

    Unfortunately not! Lying hamstring curl is the only machine curl. I was considering dropping the weight and trying to get 10-12 reps with better form ans then going up the weight again [/quote]
    Or maybe just shooting for different rep ranges e.g
    Set 1 : 10-12
    Set 2 : 5-8
    Set 3 : 12-20

    Going to see Jordan tomorrow so quite excited about that . We will train push , then I’ll stay the night .. catch up and he can then look at me first thing in the a.m when I pose for him . 🙂

    Excellent leg session this afternoon…. I am very happy with the work done . Last week session was not as good , bottomed out on pendulum. This week I’ve redeemed myself. Solid sets on pendulum, leg press , split squat , leg extension, ham curl and some adductor work to finish . 🙂
