I really like ppl/ul just be mindful of volume initially start at MEV there’s a couple I would maybe look at in the split but the overall set up is good.
Thank you for the input! I’ll play close attention to it and adjust accordingly.

What have you been running prior to this? How has your performance, progress and recovery been?
I’ve been running a ULR which was basically the aforementioned in the post Upper and Lower on repeat, had good progress on it, performance and recovery were as good as they could be.

Appreciate the replies guys! Thank you for the feedback.

Echo Rich’s questions. Also is it Pull before Push as the order of the layout is reversed?
I do love UL/PPL (I’m doing PPL/UL myself and it’s ace!).
From Upper to Push you have 7 presses. Is they recoverable for you? Kind of relies on the question above.
From Push to Upper again you have 10 presses. Is that recoverable also?
Everything else looks fine. Run it and see and then let us know how you’re getting on.
Hi, thank you for the reply! I initially planned this with Push before Pull in mind hence why I increased the amount of pressing on my Push as I’ll have 1 extra sleep between my Push and Upper, apologies on my part for how confusing I wrote it down. I’ve been doing ULR with 6 presses per Upper and I’m able to recover so I’d like to see if I could push it to 7 presser per Upper.

Hi mate
A few things
If you’re changing for curiosity’s sake, but things on your current split are going really well, I’d urge you to wait until they stall before you shift.
That aside, I really like UL PPL, I think it’s a really good balance of increased frequency and targeted volume.
Why the double rest days following PPL?
Hi thanks for the reply. I made a mistake as it was late at night when writing it, its supposed to be just one rest after the PPL so thats on me. As far as changing the split, I’ve grown a bit tired of the ULR I’ve been doing so that’s a big reason why I’m considering this swap.

Thank you all!! Much appreciated

Hi Edi, I think supplementing creatine consistently will definitely have its benefits however I’m not sure your going to see humongous gains from using it. Years of training consistently and eating a solid diet plan will yield results but it’s never an overnight process and creatine definitely won’t speed up that process dramatically I’m afraid.
I was on the same train of thought, I can afford it so might as well take it I guess? Whatever gains come are always welcome 😂

Last night Upper sesh was amazing, great progression on literally every movement either by reps, weights or even both! Excited to hit Lower tonight and rly hit that SLDL. Have an amazing day 🙂

Are your lifts progressing ?
There are muscle group which I’ve gotten stronger than before my 1 month injury which happened end of january, there are some muscle groups which are regaining their strength a touch slower, but everything is progressing on session by session basis.
-
I forgot to mention, SLDL is sometimes 2 sets, sometimes 1, depending on how it feels on the day, I do construction work and SLDLs are by far my most taxing exercise so I tend to adjust sets. I don’t do it for any other exercise.

Hi people! Writing again as I had to switch gyms and I messed around with a few different exercises + adding abs onto my lower days, got injured for a month and I’m slowly getting back in, I’d greatly appreciate any comments on my split besides JP’s reply earlier which I’ve applied to my upper day! I apologize for sending a link rather than posting the pics, forum doesn’t let me post pics on any device I try, I hope the link is good enough! cheers and have a good day/evening

if you dont enjoy how you feel at the moment and like the way you look then I would pull back tho a leaner position and then get back to growing.
Bodyfat doesnt look to bad at all to me in these pictures and I wouldn’t say its 20% personally and more like 17/18% maybe a tad low and if all was good ad you felt great then I would say keep growing a little longer.
However I know how it feels to not like the way you look and how it feels and how much this effects things day to day so in that case I would diet down
Thank you for the reply! I appreciate it a ton, I’ll keep pushing for a tad longer as you recommended, have a great day 🙂
