Don’t compensate.Never compensate, otherwise your create a circle of punishment regarding food.
I would better try to understand WHY this happened to correct the cause rather than to punish.
Don’t add steps, don’t add cardio, don’t lower the food.

From my experience as in france we don’t have great gyms : I would def drive 40min for it.
Cause the quality of machine makes the quality of training and quality of resultsYou will go into the gym which is closer to you when you will be on the rush or “in case”

I would just do a slight deficit, get your shape with the body fat you aim approximatively and then manage dieting to keep that body weight.
Also at the gym, you can just do what you are currently doing and maintaining your loads at the gym, except for clear weak muscle part which will need a progressive overload to stay at the level of the other muscles groupsThat’s what I did for few years, and the shape was maintaining very well, no PR, just maintain everything
