    Hi Kyle,

It sounds like you’re in n a brilliant spot, really well done with the BW gain and the performance improvements

I’d be really reluctant to change anything with things moving so well. Embrace the progress.

As an aside, if you’ve already added 25lbs, by all means share some pics to see whether another 30lbs is going to be a stretch before a tidy up.

Brilliant leg session this evening. Managed to find a balance between movements I can load and the ones that I need to rep.

Looking forward to Delts and tris tomorrow

Just sorted food and Supp prep for tomorrow and about to put my last meal in

You’ve got the right man answering the question in Bish!

Just to add, if you do want to do something through the range, I’d opt for a version of hypers either on a GHD or a 45deg hyper bench.

One big feed left this evening and an early night is the plan

    Hi mate

I’m not sure it’s surprising that you’re running into a plateau if you’ve dropped food, dropped a rest day, and dropped to a cruise.

I don’t think you need to do anything as drastic as changing the make up of the split.

You could reintroduce the additional rest day, or, it might be time to change out movements.

Thank you, Rich. The main reason for increasing frequency it’s because rest days was making me a little bit anxious. I feel better on days that I go to the gym. But since progress is what’s more important, I’ll give it a try[/quote]
It’s great that you love being in the gym mate, and lots of people will be able to empathise with that.

As Marc has said, really important you can come to a place of embracing your rest days and seeing them as a critical part of the process. Maybe using these days for your food prep and any cardio sessions can help make these days feel well structured.

Really good chest and biceps session today, I wasn’t sure how I’d get on with the pressing movements down in the lower rep ranges, but I’ve managed to find set ups that allow high effort with very low discomfort so I’m very happy.

Resting tomorrow and then legs on Tuesday. That will definitely be the session I struggle the most with the low rep work, so I’ll need to look at how I approach that

Really good back session today, dropping rep ranges to really focus on driving strength up and relishing the approach that brings to each set

Feeding now and a good sleep tonight, chest and bi’s tomorrow

    Hi mate

This is really good (and important) self awareness.

The consistent forces progression is what’s going to provide the stimulus for continued progress.

If you’re in a position where your training quality has been low, I would start with a full body split and get every bit of progress out of it you can.

Don’t fall into the trap of thinking there’s something glamorous about some of the more specialised splits, getting your training nailed will absolutely put you in the best position to make progress.

Rested today, hoping this heat starts to ease soon, it’s bloody miserable!

Back session tomorrow, just one feel left tonight and then sleep

    Hi mate

What did the previous year’s training look like?

Do you want to post some pictures to help us get a better sense of where you are?

Agree with clare, I think three sessions is plenty and likely gives you a high enough frequency to be able to stay in touch with the movement execution

Delts and triceps tonight, working much more in the loaded ranges now which is way more what gets my juices going.

I’ve sorted food prep for tomorrow and will be cooking my steak shortly, then it’s sleep ahead of a rest day tomorrow

    Hi mate,

As they gang have said, the best way to understand if this will work well for you is to try it, but as a general rule, there aren’t many that can train properly hard and manage well on four on the bounce , it’s a huge recovery demand.

Legs this evening , knees doing their thing and letting me work hard.

VERY warm, but really enjoyed the session, starting to be able to be a bit aggressive with the movements which I’ve missed

Sorted food and Supp prep, now on with last meal and then sleep
