Rest day! Although it’s not much felt like one, I’m not long home from work. Food prep is done, one meal left to eat tonight and a relatively early night
Push session tomorrow

Leg day done!
Ended up being a late one in the gym this evening, but a good session, high repping it on the presses.
Just got my food prep sorted for tomorrow’s rest day.
Getting my last meal sorted and then sleep time

Hi mate
Important points from Clare.
How is your performance and recovery on your current set-up?
What is telling you it’s time to change?
Performance is good. A little slower on pressing movements but I think that is to be expected. I am hitting 6 sets of presses each upper day, so I think I may could afford to drop that back a bit in favor of a little more volume on pull movements. Currently only have 4 sets of pull per upper session so I’m worried I’m missing out some here.
I feel that leg recovery could be better but still progressing well. I get pretty sore for days from just 3-4 sets each of quads and hams. However, I’m progressing well on these movements.
I was thinking of making the change to PPL to facilitate better recovery for legs and push while also allocating more volume to pull. On the other hand, I could also try making some changes to my volume on upper lower before changing to PPL.[/quote]
What pattern are you training to mate? Training days Vs rest days? How many rotations do you run? -
Hi Martin,
What is your training history?
What is your current level of strength, and how is your performance trending?

Rested today after yesterdays leg day.
Push day on the cards for tomorrow and then pull on Sunday.
I’ll do my food prep in the morning. One meal left tonight before bed and then a good sleep.

Sustain and MPS Max for me mate.

Three days off after being pretty unwell, and back in this evening for legs
Very enjoyed my session, and felt nice and fresh after the forced break
Food prep done, last meal about to be sorted, then sleep
Resting tomorrow, then back to back push and pull over the weekend

Hi mate
I’m with Oscar, I’d introduce more rest days.
I personally enjoy training days, so I could default to too many training days, but the rest is so necessary to progress.
I’d look at the following if you’re set on an arm day push, pull, rest, legs arms, rest

Rest day again, and starting to feel a bit better so looking forward to getting into the gym tomorrow evening
Sorted my food prep, one meal left this evening, then a good sleep

Hi mate
I’ll approach with a different set of questions
How much sleep do you get? Do you need a cpap? Do you have an active job? Are you in a calorie deficit?
-
Resting today. Still feeling ill, but better than I was yesterday which is good news.
Going to get a long sleep tonight and hope that sees the back of it

Agree with Clare, what’s the motivation for changing your split now?
