I deal with this and have for many years. I have always freaked out about it. Usually the next step is the doctor orders an albumin to creatinine ratio test in urine. If you had the +1 protein it will probably be elevated. If issue continues it is good to continue monitoring through time. Although with good egfr, creatinine and cystatin c the doctors take it as the kidneys may be functioning good but if protein is flowing through they may be “stressed.”
I am still trying to find a good answer.
I actually go to a nephrologist about this as well for monitoring although I seem to freak out more than he does. He is still trying to figure out why. We have not been able to pinpoint it after many years. I do think this is more common in bodybuilders than we think, just many do not get these tests done with their standard bloodwork.
All you can do is be ANAL about all your kidney care. Eg. good BP, high dose astragalus, pycnogenol, hydration, inflammation etc. and continue monitoring. Some people this is caused by training. Some people can be genetic. If it is one of these I guess the big question that the nephrologist posed to me is, will this become a kidney issue down the road? There is no answer… But in the meantime, just be on top of your health and live life. Hope that helps.
Thanks a lot brother for this awesome well written reply. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in “google rabbit holes” and think there’s an issue when everything is fine 🙏🏻I’m pretty sure I’ve always pissed this way lol but now I’m here taking pics of piss every day and driving myself nuts. I can’t change the damage i did when i was reckless in my 20s but my blood work looks good , Egfr is good and im doing everything i can to stay on top of it . Only so much we can do without driving ourselves nuts 🙏🏻🙏🏻
it’s my pleasure bro! I would definitely fight to follow up for an albumin/creatinine urine ratio test. As much as these doctors have gone to school for much longer than any of us for this, at least most here in canada don’t care and are desensitized to it. So I find that I have to take it into my own hands to fight for my health tests and the ability to make sure my health is top notch.
Let me know if you do get it and what your results are! But try not to stress, none of us are perfect 🙂

Not relevant it’s diet induced.
Oh okay, so you would say something I am eating is causing it? I am 256 lbs fairly lean with daily protein intake of 330 g. Thank you so much for your help!

Like I have said it’s diet inducedFast before bloods , lower pro & take rest and there won’t be any issues same with urinalysis.
Thank you so so much for your help man!

Yes you are totally right man! So that is what I am asking.
Bloodwork: Totally fine, creatinine fine, egfr great, cystatin C great.
Urinalysis: Shows protein in urine, specifically Albumin to be high in urine while creatinine is normal in urine but it skews that magical “ratio” that the lab looks for of under 3.
So my question is, is this something you have ever paid attention to in people who train hard and have much more muscle mass than the average person?
I know that exercise induced proteinurea is a thing but after expensive research I cannot find anything in the “bodybuilding” world talking about this. Although a nephrologist mentioned to me that runners for example break down so much tissue that he has seen many runners commonly have rhabdo.
Thanks for your patience and help 🙂

Hey Kuba! Just wondering if you ever use a urinalysis with your athlete’s and if you are ever concerned about finding protein in urine or a high albumin/creatinine ratio through urine with big bodybuilders? Some people tell me it’s normal as a big bodybuilder who trains hard and it is exercise induced and other’s say it is not. Would love your opinion!
If I see low egfr yes I do, creatinine wil be elevated from training and muscle mass
Thanks so much! EGFR is totally fine and so is creatinine, it is more the albumin aspect IN URINE that is elevated which skews that ratio and this is the “protein in the urine” concern.

I will win my regional and I will win my pro qualifier. I have literally zero doubts
I know you tore your adductor and I keep trying to look back on the log to see where you outline it but cannot find it as I recently resigned up to the site 🙁
If you don’t mind me asking,
How did you tear it?
Was it a full tear, partial or a bad strain?
How long did it take to heal and did you do anything specific to heal it other than time?
What limitations did you have during that time and how did you work around them?
Thanks for your insight 🙂

Great push session , I’m still just deciding finally on the combo of where the test , nandrolone , eq will fall . All of it is unhealthy as shit , and I’m not that fussed by that being what leads my decision making ( that sounds bad , but I’m stopping really soon, so if one is higher than the other for the next period , irs not going to be the diff in health)
I am keen to keep that water off , but also , really do not want to skew the overall feel of the cycle , so it defo lends itself to staying more so what I was doing before and then just working in a small bit of nandrolone to get the stuff in tbe mix it does that the others don’t do , vs trying to fully manage water with it .
I will update where I land with it , but for now just know it’s the total anabolic load , from those 3 , with a couple bottles gh a day split through the day .
I am so fucking amped to get past all time size in this run , it’s taken me a while to get back to this point and it’s all been a bit meh until now and not particularly exciting for me as I have seen things bigger before , but mow in here , I am close to it being new size and it’s very very exciting , as then I look and go, hmm that’s cool , instead of looking and going pfft boring lol .
Plus I’m in such a good place mentally and have been for months and months now , basically all year after like Jan/feb time , it’s been so insanely positive and I’m by far the happiest I have been in the last few years , where everything clicks into place so easily , as I’m able to work so damn hard . I can feel also that I can easily maintain this work capacity and will not falter . Man once bodybuilding is done , I will be like a crack addict for work , as I will need something to focus all of my energy on entirely , so that’s going to be incredibly fun too
Thank you for all the insight! Just wondering, what makes you feel it is “unhealthy as shit”? lol
I know being massive and using this amount of drugs isn’t making health “better” but as you have stated, your BP seems to be always good, vital signs seem to be good, cholesterol is not bad at all etc. what makes you feel this is so terrible?
Honest Question 🙂

Hey Jordan!
Based off your igf lr3 and des experience, do you still believe in the 4 weeks on 4 weeks off approach?
Or would you consider running the whole push phase?
Thanks for your input!
-
I ran des pre lr3 post for the last couple months , I think it worked insanely fucking well. The moment I am out of this small tidy I’m straight back to it , the areas that I targeted with the des / lr3 grew by far the most during the push!
Hey jordan! Did you cycle them 4 weeks on 4 weeks off repeat or just ran it straight through for longer?
Thinking of straight through for my 16-20 week push up phase but would love your input.

All you guys are saying insulin no and again I am asking purely for curiosity purposes, why not? I would love to know as to why you guys have this reasoning. Thank you for the help 🙂
Because no one will ever of mixed insulin with peptides and tested to see what happens scientifically. So why would we risk doing so and creating some form of issue or ruining the peptides.
We dont know so we dont risk
Thank you for your reasoning I really appreciate it 🙂

I do my SS31 and 5 amino in one syringe yes
Then I have klowblend
I wouldn’t mix your insulin
Thank so much! Would love to pick your brain on that, why is adding the insulin in there not ideal?
