Would it be worth checking BG at the start or during workout? Or is this overkill?

Bump just to see if I can get a response on this one please?

Once I’ve taken my insulin dose, what’s a “good” BG level to be at either at the beginning of the training session, or during?
ive never done either and see no need at all – what difference would it matter were your BG was right before the workout or during ?

If you had enough carbs pre workout then you should be totally fine and then you should be taking ample during to cover – ive never heard of any one taking it just before training and certainly not during -like imagine stopping your leg session to take your BG haha –

Wednesday. -25 minutes cardio high incline treadmill while the little on slept.

No high day today – leg day it was

All meals in no issues and legs was awesome in a brutal way – I do prefer training them when not on a super high day thats for sure.

Ham curls -Sets of 8 until I couldn’t get 8 – 4 sets total – so last one I hit 9F then dropped one block for the next set and hit 8F, then dropped one block for final set and hit 10F

Extensions – As above – x 9F, x 10F, x 8F – with 4 working warm ups prior

Leg press – sets of 12 until we hit a work set – 4 Sets in total – set 4 being 9 plates per side for 12 that was very hard, then 10 PPS for 12 reps that ruined me failing on the last set.

1 leg leg press – x 20, x 25F

Seated ham curl rest paused with a true 3 sec negative – x 11F/x5F, x 3F – this was also brutal

Seated leg press – 4 sets of 10 with 10 seconds rest – last set I failed at rep 7

fantastic session – every part of my legs was pumped and burning – no knee pain, no lower back issues – I must remember to keep the volume like this – it just feels better and there are no niggles.

Very happy

Tuesday. -Was another rest day and fuller day with Arilena.

We did soft play and swimming in the Am and then out in the garden afternoon/evening. – was fantastic.

No morning cardio as some one was so excited she woke up at 5:15 am lol – however steps were very high so I will survive.

All meals in

Hey guys,

first I have to say thank u so much for all your response!

My thoughts about this usage was this, I try to explain.

Im on a Diet phase right now, really low in carbohydrates because im already really lean and I find out I need to go really low, to get in a really good shape.

i do my morning cardio 7x per week for 45 minutes fasted with some 40mcg clen and 10mg yohimbine.

Currently my cycle is: 50mg test propionate and 100mg primo Monday, wendsday and Friday – that’s it and I don’t really want to push the anabolic / hormones more, so I thought to get a little bit more fullness and better recovery I can implement some insulin for better absorption of my carbohydrates which are all around training.

The question about the Cardio comes from the point, that I really want to up my output a little bit more, but I have a full-time job and not so much time for a second cardio session in the afternoon, so I thought I would do a little bit cardio after my workout and then take the insulin and eat my carbohydrates. Of course I know cardio after training is not the optimum, but its the only time I could add more output. I don’t want to lower my input, im already rly low.

So question here is – will the effect of the insulin after the cardio does his job to get a little bit fuller and shuttle the carbohydrates better in my muscles for a better recovery?

kind regards!

I honestly think the insulin will be a bad idea.

Your in a deficit so your already running improved insulin sensitivity and your also running depleted.

you will then come out of your training session depleted and then deplete further with PWO cardio.

This all is a recipe for the I insulin to hit you harder and cause you to hypo meaning you will likely have to overeat to rectify the issue and mess the diet up.

I would defo not do this in this situation

Your literally running TRT test – makes 0 sense – you can increase that and get a million times more benefit than a low dose insulin would do here with no toxicity IMO

Monday – cardio on wake – 25 minutes incline treadmill plus abs

Rest day – all meals in – little behind so last one is going to be just a shake with sourdough so I can still get to be at a time suitable for my 4-4:30am wake time.

Resting 2moro also.

then training – Wed/Thurs/Sat only – so just 3 days this week.

Then will be back to normal from next week –

I have had many clients in similar situations – what I usually try and do is the below.

Meal 1 – make this a solid food meal – eggs etc

meal 2 – make this a shake you can have at your desk or a chicken/wrap meal that likely does not smell etc

Meal 3 – solid meal as this is on your break and is fine

meal 4 – usually would fall at the end of the 8 hour shift for most so would be fine but if not repeat meal 3.

Then make sure the rest of the meals are just as needed.

it really isn’t that much of an issue TBH –

The meals at your desk can me a mixture of things – either foods that dont smell or if they need to be shakes – milk based protein powder, egg based protein powder, vegan based protein powder – 3 different options there if you want to make sure your not having the same things all the time.

carbs – oat flour, COR, wraps, rice cakes, bread etc etc.

Fat sources – really dont smell so shouldn’t be an issue.

Thank you! That has clarified any questions I had! Blood test is imbound so I csn properly assess.

Even on a cruise dose, do you not advise the use of HCG to minimise testicle atrophy and fertility issues? Or is this not a huge concern at 200mg per week and would be solved when I’ve come off and gone through a full pct
Its a very debated topic TBH.

There does seem to be some evidence that HCG use when people are on TRT helps to maintain fertility and the science would support this however it comes with potential issues using HCG over prolonged periods of time.

We also know that in almost all cases we can bring fertility back post long periods of use with either a normal PCT or some additional fertility stuff such as HMG –

When using HCG it causes E2 spikes and prolonged use can cause desensitisation also.

So its very hard to say what is right and what is wrong.

Personally I dont recommend it – I have also helped many people regain there fertility post long term AAS use – some easier than others but I am yet to come across any one who could not regain fertility if they had access to the right drugs and give it time.

You just have to pick the path you feel makes the most sense after lots of reading and speaking to people and run with it – As you will get different answers depending on who you speak to.

For real life examples – it took me around 14 months after stopping prolonged use to get my partner pregnant using HCG, HMG and other stuff.

I have seen some of my clients get partners pregnant within months of using similar set ups I designed for them,

We are all effected differently and we all respond to drugs differently so there is no one shoe fits all so to speak

If you need to do PWO cardio for what ever reason and are using insulin then this set up makes sense yes.

However I do not see the PWO cardio bringing any real benefit if its being added for a potential benefit.

PWO your body is primed to store glycogen
Insulin shuttles nutrition thats its job – doing cardio wont make it more effective at its job –

Sunday – Now a training day – Cardio. – just a walk on wake with weighted vest.

Met a local client to go through posing in a local gym and then trained chest/delts in there –

Pec dec with a true 3 sec negative – x 12, x 12, x 12, x 10F – all were hard work sets
Incline machine press – x 10, x 6F, x 10F, x 15F
Seated machine press – x 8, x 8, x 8, x 8F, x 14F – all were hard work sets

I left it here as that injured side was just starting to feel a little off.

1 arm leaning DB laterals – x 12, x 10, x 8F, x 14F – all hard work sets
Standing DB lateral – triple drop set – 2 sets of these.

Job done – little bit lower on the volume but was still a good workout and strength was good.
