That way they both get prioritised at least once.

Still strong, not quite going for crazy stuff now though eg 85kg dbs as don’t feel as invincible anymore lol. Got a few niggles that are rearing their heads now which is normal for cruise phase for me. We battle on until prep starts then hopefully I’ll get better haha

Heavy pulls of course – do the ones which work for you and you feel in desired muscles – not necessarily the ones that neurally fuck your up the most
Other than that I really like chest supported db rows

Posing is so important and I believe it can make all the difference on stage so don’t neglect it and make sure you put in the time to practice

Deffo probs a form thing. Regulate By adding a small pause at the bottom of each lift so you can really target the chest.
Also check your intensity and ensure you’re going to actual failure with good form.

How to get your metabolism up in off season and after a competition ?I wouldn’t worry too much about ‘metabolism’ as such. But what you want to do is get yourself to a state where by you can eat a decent amount of food and not out on any excess body fat. When dieting and food becomes low, it can take a long time after a show, to get food high again. This more so for females imo. You’ll also need a Gradual reduction in cardio and may have to keep some in for the off season too but this is person dependent

You can use either imo just be consistent in your method and then also how you cook, as different cooking options will alter the food weight if your measuring when cooked. Key factor – be consistent

Obviously your actions need to reflect your goals the majority of the time but every now and again having a little down time is ok. (Not on prep lol) … but yeah you gotta enjoy your actual life as well as bodybuilding imo

I’m going to the horse racing today at Cheltenham where I live. Haven’t been in years so quite looking forward to it. Been a nightmare getting a jacket that fits though! Excited for a social day today, as prep starts soon! 🙂

MemberMarch 11, 2020 at 4:49 pm in reply to: Joe’s Classic to Open Class BodybuilderWoke up this morning with a big lump under my left shoulder – I hoping it’s a gland or lymph node etc but it’s damn painful to touch and can’t really put my arm above my head. Off to see doctor soon (I never do that, always try to avoid) but just wanna make sure.
Anyway it stopped me training today because of the pain it’s caused but we battle on. Hopefully get some meds to get it to go away. ????

Effected my pressing today so instead of trying to compare to my numbers, (which I’d not have beat and then been pissed off) … I just did heavy as I could for 10+ reps. So but higher volume to take some stress off the area but still a good stimulus
Sometimes you need to auto regulate which means to make decisions as you go regarding volume/intensity etc based on how you feel
Today was one of those days. I still had a good session just in a different way

MemberMarch 9, 2020 at 6:37 pm in reply to: body builder going into powerlitingFirst point of call – get a coach. Someone that knows how to programme cor powerlifting. You can get very very strong and still be in shape. It also depends if you’re competing in a weight category too because of you are then you can’t get crazy out of shape anyway.
10 weeks isn’t a lot of time at all if you’re only just changing your training style imo
