Yeah why not buddy so long as you can recover from it then fine. Just make sure you keen form on an RP. A drop set may me better for a smaller muscle like the delts

    NEXT YEARS SHOW

Ok guys so the date has been chosen for next years competition. I’m going to be doing the 2Bros British finals (I’ll do the regional the day before and hopefully win that to qualify)

The show is just under a year from now so technically I’m a year out. I will treat everything from now on like prep. I have one goal and that is to become British champ and win my IFBB pro card.

Actually proper excited as I love having something to work towards! It gives me drive, focus and motivation!

    Buzzing .

I did the same thing as Matt and yourself with single arm vertical. I also started using a MAG Bar when I went back to normal Pulldown and I definitely like it way better. Can feel way more activation.

I’m tempted to buy some for my gym actually – they’re very good! Current gym doesn’t have them which is annoying

I incorporated the single arm vertical cable pull down a while back as I get much better connection and feel out of it than traditional vertical pull downs. I still keep a typical vertical pull in the rotation so as to work on it and obviously loading is greater here but much better mind connection on the single arm cable. Set up is great on these as well as you can really position yourself perfectly here for lifting the muscle properly.

That’s interesting to hear bud. I like the idea of keeping a normal pull down in too – almost as is the single arm variation is used to prime or activate the lats before the heavier pulls. Thanks for your input mate

I’m struggling a lot with lat engagement on vertical pulls at the moment so I swapped out the neutral pull downs for a single arm cable pull down and it actually felt good! Load was obv down but accuracy here was required to hit the muscle as intended.

Does anyone else struggle with certain body parts? And if so what do you do to deal with it?

As the programme is written specifically for you it won’t have taken into account your weaknesses. I’d be the same as Corinne in that I like isolated lateral delt work and especially if their a weakness then I would 100% add. My fave is the lying cuffed side cable raise 🙂

Saw osteo yesterday and it has massively sorted me out ???? I’m in London this weekend for the Amateur Olympia and watched the girls today and the boys are up tomorrow. Always love getting to shows and networking with mates. Been a good day so far and an awesome class win and overall win and pro card for our very own Lara! Another pro to the team!

I warm up a lot before the first set. Then from ex to ex I don’t do too much. Maybe just to feel the weight before I hit my working sets

Ok so it’s not been the best week. On Monday I tweaked my lower back – exactly where I hurt it from RDLS in January. It’s been very soon and only managed to get in with the osteo today. It’s eased it a lot and movement is a bit better now so I’ll get back in the gym tomorrow. Been very frustrating but sometimes you have to listen to your body! I can’t lift at all if I’m broken!

I personally prefer doing whole leg In one session but it’s personal preference so long as you’re getting enough training frequency for each body part and your recovery is good ????

You have example for leg routine that I can do once a week?[/quote]
This is my current leg session:

    Seated Leg Curl x 2
    Hack x 2
    Pendulum x 2
    Leg Press x 1
    Glute Bridge Variation x 2
    Leg ext x 1 r/p
    Lying Leg Curl x 1 r/p
    Adductor x 2
    Calf x 3

Most exercises are 6-10 set 1 then 12-15 set 2

R/p means rest pause and calves if usually do 3 sets of varying rep ranges and weights

Hi joe I note on your diet update there is no sweet potato but on your ig stories you were consuming quite a lot . Did you find it wasn’t digesting well for you ?

Hey bud yeah no tbh I just got bored of it lol I also find that I travel a lot and having sweet potato mash smashing around in my bag isn’t ideal lol. Was digesting well though so no problems. The meals are a little more ‘boring’ not but tbh it’s the way I like it haha ????
