So for tmo leg + back , will start with my back work , it feels smoother , it’s likely I will stick with 2 leg press , but I was keen to see what a scaled back to 1 felt like
Leg curls I will keep at 1 rir , they are hard to recover , and it’s all mid peg / setting 1 , so nothing overly lengthened based training
This should be interesting to see how much change again I can get into my legs ( obv back too ) , but I am really heavily leg / glute focused atm.
The training is defo hard to recover from as 3 on , with that set up , both cns wise , but also joint wise , but I can feel it’s doable , I just need to make sure I’m getting enough sleep and managing stress as best I can
I’m filming wed , so that will go up here , and lots of the athletes slots have been booked to go up in here too

No , the lift progression isn’t want drives adaptation , it’s difficulty . So if you have 2 exercises that require the same effort , each time you progress them , you get the same adaptations . Lift progression isn’t what’s driving the adaptation , it’s a reflection of the scenario occurring . Having multiple rotations seems to have the most push back when it comes to this split and I really can’t understand why.

MemberAugust 31, 2024 at 7:57 am in reply to: JP prep 2024/25 – NO OFF TOPIC QUESTIONSSo I was worried about my knees with the eod training of legs , my knees actually feel acceptable today , my elbows however are shot! 😂 , there is no way I can do lat work today and not expect to fully trigger some elbow tendinitis . The limiting factor in high frequency training is fairly often joints
So I will just hit full legs today and some stiff legs , as I’m not writing my elbows out of the equation.

Pulling it back out will have a period of no thyroid so many just don’t care for that , so just keep taking their tabs as it makes no diff to them
Taking slightly more aids in digestion

RestThis will be best imo , give push and pull even more focus on their own days but everything gets hit twice a week , still hit legs twice a week as can never have big enough legs

I honestly don’t ever even think about the people it reaches ( probably obvious as I never hold back what I truly think haha ) . I am genuinely always wanting to help people as much as I can , but I think much like Dante , it eventually feels like a never ending battle , as even though it’s absolutely not someone’s fault , they come along and ask the same question for the 100th time and then it feels like your getting nowhere haha , but in reality it’s then just the chance to help another person , which I do try to remind myself often .
Push tmo! I will share some thoughts then as when balancing back + biceps with push the next day , you have a few cross over areas of fatigue , the biceps are shoulder flexors so fatigue in those will play a role and then the long head of the triceps will be fatigued from lat rows , but it is what it is, with splits you can’t have it all, always

Much like I can progress back after push no problem but if I was to try to do push work after back I can progress it the same
What you do at the start of the sessions impacts the stuff at the end, so pick your exercise order that allows you to progress everything maximally
A key example , the previous leg session I started with leg extension , very first set of the session 4 mid 4 bottom x 5
Todah , did 6 sets of back work first
Then leg ext , 7th set in , 4 top 4 bottom x 6 , up a rep
People probably don’t ever even think about what effects things later in the session , I do , I think about everything
And thank you , ye atm I honestly just want to be entirely away from anyone and the whole world and just do this work and step back out once I am entirely ready to compete , because I know exactly what I need to do , I know exactly how to do it , and talking about it atm mostly winds me up lol 😂 , because I’m just enjoying the work so much
But it’s just a phase , it will pass , I think eveyrine suffers from some burn out , and I do still always want to help people 🙂 , even talking about the burnout with socials maybe helpful for others haha ?

Can I do 2 or 3 sets of leg curl with an eod approach ? Or is it just 1 set if I also have a stiff leg in there?
I want to know , I like knowing the ins and outs of everything 🙂

Legs is always the same , it just has more/less leg ext
If it’s upper it starts with the same press movements As push
So what changes ? Pull
Work is either fresh or after push and that

I feel like 400 is such an epic dose , some of the other bjj lads that I have spoken to have all said 400 is a sweet spot where they feel awesome , but don’t feel it on their cv , most of them too on 200/200 , test + mast or primo
The health stack that we make would be what you need , it makes such a huge diff
