If we are running our own nutrition we don’t count those bits BUT that’s because we rarely alter our food sources. But if I was swapping oats, for rice. I would add 8g coconut oil to the rice, as an example , to make up the fats

Ben, I wouldn’t really bother with metabolic work beyond maybe some higher rep work. So I would stick to two rep ranges 5-9 and 10-15 , and just get strong AF! Progress food, progress lifts. This is such a crazy efficient way to grow

Agree on the growing into a show, most of us will just think, that for at least the first 6 weeks , because food is just enough to illicit recovery and because drugs are up, you will be using excess body fat as fuel and then growing occurs. I think as I get lighter and fitter I can really improve through a mid phase of prep

To improve + grow , all days need to be in a surplus , rest can be in a VERY small surplus, so basically just literally over maintenance , but all days need to be there.

Take your calipers at your fattest sites, take multiple sites, I advise lower back, scapula , and ab
Max I’m happy to let my sites go to is 10mm , but that is being real strict
14-15mm would be ok, but I wouldn’t go Over that
You can’t get a percentage from taking one site , so don’t worry about a percent . Just stick to the mm on the calipers

Agree with both above
It’s all just energy output , the epoc from hiit poses a benefit and the increasing mitochondria is a benefit . BUT the impact this has on recovery is considerable . If I wanted to do hiit I would have to v slowly build upto it over time , increasing the HR of the cardio until I was able to do hiiit and it not destroy my training

Josue , I wouldn’t over think trace/ non trace. Just count all ur fats , all ur macros . She is just illustrating what is from a direct fat source

The milos prep works incredibly well but it is such a hard hard process. It takes someone very stubborn and mentally resilient to put that weight on as fast as he pushes you . You stayed much leaner than I did Ben so I this prep should be epic

Tbh I am having that battle more and more with myself atm . I love this stuff but some days I feel like it’s a real test and then others I thrive on the challenge . I won’t sack it in as I love to train and compete , but u may see a smaller / streamlined version of myself after this year . I just don’t want to carry this body weight around much more , I don’t know anyone else as short as me this heavy , and that’s because it is absolutely fucking wank ! I BADLY want this card, and then once I have it , I don’t really see myself trying to do much with it as I’m never going to be gd enough to hang . At that point i think it’s going to be phd time and focusing on educating as much as poss , as I do enjoy that and I think that challenge will keep me occupied. I always need a goal of sorts and it will always need to be fairly big , otherwise I feel like I’m floating through life and I’m not a fan of that thought
