I’m not on muscle minds atm sadly as I don’t have the time . But Stefan and I can talk about stuff next week when I see him. I’m actually mega excited to have a catch up with him and the Austrian boys.

So his general thinking I was literally just under eating , and he was right , as I’m still lean ish , for this weight . Takes an external perspective sometimes to correct a longstanding habit that one has employed with themselves , which is exactly why I have hired him.

Jack my rest days are higher in carb. This is the biggest change that Working with Stefan has seen. I was just under eating on my rest days it seems as have been doing 350g c on rest days with no prob. Last offseason highest I took them was 150.

We filmed yday and it was a 3
Hour leg session by time we got it all done . So I do need those carbs on rest days to recover as best I can , they will prob go up now cardio is going in too

For now I won’t do the DB lateral at all, just more work on the lying , usually I would favour a couple exercises but in this case more work on one perfect exercise is ideal

I find banding that lockout hits my chest if u have initiated wth the chest and focusing on shortening the
Chest . I then don’t feel it anywhere else at all tbh

Jan mostly depends how I feel, if I think I have hit the muscle well . If I have nailed it then just straight sets , a couple times I have used a drop set – but it’s all by how I feel in the session. Joe and I talked over exercise selection to prioritise weaknesses. Just saw me drop out more of the barbell work for things I can ensure I target the working muscle

Luke I can’t remember what I last posted haha, but il chuck up my macros . There is so much scope to get heavier ! I’m not soft at all yet which Is cool. Cardio later , funny that I don’t need it in prep but I do in offseason just to be able to train hard!

sup guys, argh the weekend set me back so I apologise for slow update here.

great weekend, clients kicked ass, really happy n proud coach. one of the greatest moments I have ever felt seeing james win his pro card. we talked everyday, for a long time in this prep and I really got to know james well. so it was truly a moment I wont forget. when they called his name as the winner, his reaction was like a mix between, wow fuck ok that just happened and is this really happening. it was a cool moment

I will answer all the questions in the morn, as my app logged me out, so il do it on there when I have my password ( cant even remember my own password to this site haha, how bad is that ! )

272 for me, food going in v well

20 mins on the bike tmo for cardio, I am a vgd 272 and there is so much scope to go to 285, but I need to be fit. I’m not talking health benefits, ir fat loss. I’m talking just the ability to perform the work, in the sessions at that weight. its just so damn hard , hence why u don’t see anyone my height that weighs this, as its near imposs to carry once u get to 285-290 . so I need to be much fitter, if I’m to keep getting bigger.

I have meldonium and am yet to try it, its interaction with l carnitine I’m not keen on from the reading I have done. cardarine I think will have a better impact on body comp. I will try both,as once I’m over 270 , its going to start getting hard again!

    lat focused session

pullover machine, 4 second eccentric, 1 second pause at lengthened and contracted position, 1 x 10, 1 x12
single arm undergrip pull down, same tempo 1x 12, 1x 8
    undergrip row machine same tempo 1 x 8 , 1 x 10
    upper back row 1 x 12, 1 x12 same tempo

hitting that tempo for now just to purposefully keep loads a touch lighter as deadlifted day before in ham session. so focus is solely on lats and then one exercise for upper back

    chest supported shrug, 1 x 12 , 1x 11
    reverse pec dec 3 x 8-12
    machine curl 2 x 812
    rope crunch 3 x 812

dean, defo still work across different rep ranges. I have seen the greatest progress overall from doing this, over the last few years.

rotties, I plan to micro load progressions. I think there is definite scope for progression on all lifts but this is at a much lesser scale. I know my side raises simply wont get to the loading of previous if keep the intent in place, but man I’m going to try to still get fucking strong. the hypertrophy potential then would be insane really. I will indeed rotate as and when needed.

luke yup only in that dog end of prep. push strength died a death on me

thanks guys, the show was a huge success. v excited for next year already

rob, I’m using rpg with pwo meal atm. I haven’t ran blood sugars but I will do too. so pre meal, with the tabs, 30 mins post, 60 mins post, 90 mins post, 2 hours post. be sure to do thus against a control of no gdas as well 🙂

Justin I buy tudca and nac from amazon

    ……

hey guys, so legs yday, ham focused. lats/rear delts/bis today ( pull, but no lower back loading)

    weight was 266 this morn.

so when I get heavy and go over 270, I find it v hard to train at higher reps, and do supersets or dropsets. so I’m going to use some cardarine for fitness. has any got any experience with certain companies that make it?

Cameron, yup for sure , using less loads, less energy needed to move them, so goal is to get back to previous strength ASAP! See your intent work as just form correction and then roll with being back to usual loading as soon as poss
