How do you determine your Lantus dose? Also do you split dose morning/bedtime to lower fasted bg?

By feel and monitoring BG all dose in one in the morning soon as I wake

I wouldn’t recommend lantus pre bed it may drive BG too low. After reading on it and from experience it can do that in middle of the night even when shot only in morning it has peak half life of 12 hours but actually works up to 24.

Thanks bro, I’ve found that Metformin with my last meal brings down my fasted BG to between 75-80 which is great considering fasted cardio. Do you still run lantus on rest days when fats are considerably high?
No insulin at all on rest days my man

Solid days rest, early night too it’s Megan’s birthday tomorrow so will take her shopping in the morning before legs and treat her for her birthday before she goes away to Berlin.

I would have loved to have gone but it would set me back a little with my current offseason she understands that so she is going with her best friend. I will make this up to her for sure when she’s back with a nice hotel night away.

I have a vision in mind and I can’t afford any set backs right now so no real letting off the gas for me I still enjoy the finer things in life but I won’t do anything that will set me back or cost me a few sessions I just can’t afford to lose that time. I know it sounds selfish but this is what it is.

Solid days rest yesterday, cardio and dog walk done.

One thing I have thought about for a while now is my activity levels, before I got the gym and started coaching full time I was pt’ing 5/6 clients per day then working on the door 5 nights per week which meant my total activity for the day were massive some days I would do some cardio too and I would manage to train 5/6 times a week my recovery were great so was digestion and appetite.

It’s certainly something I have missed out on last year or so and I will be rectifying it. Personally for my self the more active I am the more I grow in better shape and more progress I can make with better recovery. So from now on my cardio will be staying in daily and I will be hitting a daily step count on top to make sure I am active.

Ever since I’ve started coaching full time and with the gym not needing much moving around I think it has hurt my progress a touch. So time to rectify it and crack on and stop being a lazy little bitch.

Sometimes when you think your ticking all the boxes sometimes there are things you might just over look when you sit and think about the bigger picture.

In a club? Out of curiosity, what time do you start and at what time does the work finish? Do you usually eat something in the middle of the night?

Very good video with Jimmy, the last one for legs. Congrats for the progress in this years!
Back in day when I worked in club my day would start later generally so I would eat through the night regularly until bed time some days I would have to start early so I would fast and eat same time daily. Finished work 3 am most. Nights bed for 3:45 latest

I like a break from food around 10/12 hours between my last meal and breakfast keeps my stomach and digestion on point

My meal off/cheat is now on my rest day day before legs or pull 🙂 that’s when I like to have it as my rest is structured that way to allow extra calories on last day.

I favour more consistent approach so I wouldn’t do it on this base, I would do carbs spread evenly throughout and work of my calories and calorie output 🙂 carbs pre and post are essential to holding on to muscle

Awesome day with the team at the British Grand Prix yesterday, great show and it was awesome to be able to watch the pro show. Close friend of mine I prepped for men’s physique placed 3rd too so that just made the day even better I was so happy for him as I know how much it meant to him!
