Hi Buddy, I’ve always separated the two so only pro carb meals and pro fat meals however now I like to add a little fat to some of my carb meals to help lower the spike in insulin! Post workout I would always keep pro carb only because I was that super fast digestion and absorption. My breakfast is usually pretty high carb and fat. The rest of the meals are moderate.

Hey buddy, I have this problem a lot. For me after legs my CNS usually always shuts down leaving me passed out shaking on the sofa! Not wanting to eat. As soon as my blood sugar is in range I eat and after a while it tends to wear off and my appetite comes back.

Hey buddy, I don’t personally count protein from carbs etc. I know a lot of people do but I’ve never worked like that. I only count my protein from protein, my carbs from carbs and my fats from fats.

Hey buddy, you can reduce calories from carbs or fats. Personally I would keep protein where it is. There wouldn’t be a set amount you reduce I would just reduce slightly until there was a stall in fat/weight loss then slightly drop again. Alternatively you can keep calories higher and increase activity weekly.

Good morning guys, just out doing a fasted walk. Still at 25 mins on training days only. Had a phenomenal workout at Muscleworks Orpington it’s such a nice gym there lovely people and the equipment is spot on! If your local definitely get down and there and if you aren’t then make sure you travel up on the weekend!! You won’t be disappointed! We had a productive pull Workout then we followed up by getting our bloods done by Dr Matt Milner, really knowledgable and highly recommended to me and james. Looking forward to getting the results back in just 2 days. Diet has been great the past few days. Got legs to smash today. Still feeling a bit sore, tired and beat up but going to push on. After a discussion with James James week I have decided to drop my cruise slightly. Now running test at 150mg/ week for the foreseeable future. I want to see how my body holds onto strength and muscle at a lower dose before going back on a higher cycle.

Ive always previously had a red meat and carb meal during the day… used to always swap it with that s the most like for like…
I had a 5 guys last monday which was structured last meal from the coach… so i just carried on as instructed haha!
I think dropping carbs from first meal and then having it after post workout meal where it would be higher carb anyway is probs how ill go off season! My job doesnt stop but is sedentry so allows me to keep my mind busy so can go with lower carb breakfast without too much pain except for the fact that i love oats… lol
Yes I don’t mind eating low carbs all day. I don’t often have a meal off after training though as a lot of others do. If the fat content is too high in the meal off I struggle to digest it then I feel like I won’t be recovering from the workout. So I like to eat my post and post post meals before having one off!

Good morning everyone! Just out doing a fasted walk! Nice rest day yesterday finished off with a nice burger and chips meal off at blacks burgers with James and some family and friends! Feeling fuelled up for today’s push session! It’s going to be a good one. What are your main pressing movements for push?
Always start with an incline press variation, that top shelf thickness is a real weakness. Do you manage to connect well with top of chest, talking collar bone area..any tips?
Hi Matt,Yes I can connect extremely well with my entire pecs. Upper chest I always retract my traps down as much as possibly and my shoulders back and keep my chest high and drive the weight up with my chest. Usually can’t do as much weight but it’s worth it because that’s the only way your upper pec is taking the whole load!

Morning mate,
do you deliberately hold some calories back during the day when you know youre going to eat out and have a burger etc? or jsut crack on?! lol
Hi Reese,
I usually eat my
Meals as normal however I usually eat 6 meals a day so if I have a meal off for meal 5 I wouldn’t eat meal 6. I’ll let it digest and go to bed or worst case just have some whey iso before bed. What do you tend to do?LouisMoylan

Hey, I would keep as much low intensity cardio in as possible. Keep protein at a normal rate and personally probably lower carbs and up my fats slightly.

Thankyou for your response Louis, yes i will do. Im 2 weeks off from work, because at work i have to walk/stand up my feets all day. I will stick to maintenance calories. With some lower carbs approach.
Yes I have a lot of problems with whey, the only product I can digest is a hydrolysed & Isolate blend, maybe give that a go!
