Hiya Matěj, Alison gave some really helpful advice that you should consider. If you consistently feel pain just doing that movement even after warming up really well, I’d suggest seeing an osteo/chiro/physio and letting them have a look. From there they should let you know if there is any real issue and rehab work to assist. If you don’t consistently feel pain and this is a one off I wouldn’t worry. Out of interest, do you feel this when doing leg extension with both legs?

Hi guys happy Monday. Resting today as I made a trip up to see my Chiro. It’s a bit of a drive but honestly absolutely worth it. A little work on my SI which was pretty tight again. Nowhere near previously but still pretty tight, Psoas, Glutes. Some parts of my back/neck were fairly tight. And then shocker. My knees are pretty much bulletproof… or so I thought. As I’ve been doing more steps, a tiny bit of cardio and posing my right knee has felt a bit iffy. Not pain but some discomfort and clicking which isn’t normal for me. I mentioned it briefly in our consultation and she did a little work on the left and right and then mentioned… yeah maddy that’s not good. Keep an eye on that 🤠. And so I’ll be keeping a careful eye, doing my Spanish squats and self-massaging if I can manage the cringe. After coming back pretty much got stuck into work, went on a long walk to hit my steps and now ready to chill for the evening. 👍🏼

Hiya Luna, there’s no evidence that dictates that fasted cardio is more beneficial vs post-eating. A lot of the tie it’s down to personal preference. In regards to your position and what you mention your schedule allows for, I would absolutely suggest eating something pre-training especially if your performance is waning.
The guys above have mentioned that ideally we’d suggest keeping cardio away from training which I agree with, however, if your schedule doesn’t allow for it then you’ll have to continue as you are. What is your nutrition pre, during and post-training?

Hi guys happy Sunday. Spent most of the day with family enjoying the sunshine. A little bit of work this morning but also some digestion issues out of no where so hopefully tomorrow is a little better

Hiya Kaua, in that case an elbow sleeve or knee sleeve may be suitable for you. After you are adequately warmed up does this discomfort subside? If so for now you can likely just spend a little more time warming up those areas before top sets.

I agree with everyone above! Communicate with your coach and have a conversation about how you’re approaching things this time round. A good coach will want you to understand why certain protocol is in place.

Hiya Liam, just watched through this. While you are rounding your lower back a lot less in this video I’d still honestly drop the load further. You lose position at rep 4 with the bar swinging in front of you which is a good indication that you need to continue working on form/skill acquisition before you chase load. About your stance being too wide, it’s pretty hard to see here from a side angle. You might be standing a little wide, but I do notice your feet are turned out. I’d usually suggest keeping your feet tracking forward so you can press through your whole foot effectively. Is there any reason why you’re starting top-down? I’d suggest pulling from the floor for a SLDL. It looks to me that you’re not creating tension effectively enough too. This will come from a mixture of pulling the slack out of the bar before the weight leaves the ground, bracing effectively, anchoring your hips down and using your legs rather than relying on your back to lift the load.
I still think pulling back on load and building back up with more consistent and solid form will be one of the best things you can do to get to a position where you can work towards 5 plates.

Hello hello happy Wednesday. Very normal Wednesday for me, up and out for a walk, breakfast, work and then in for hams glutes and delts. Great session, up a smidge on bstance rdls and a few other movements. Happy days. Popped over to see my darling grandma and then back home to continue with work, finish off steps and chill!

Hiya Liam. I wholeheartedly agree with Marc and Rich. Strip it way back and start from square one. 20-25kg aside. It will feel frustrating to do but your positioning is no where near where it needs to be to handle load like 5 plates. Power comes from creating tension and really good positioning. Are you looking to do this for hypertrophy or are you chasing a number? Totally fine if it’s both but I really strongly suggest you spend some time focusing on skill acquisition with lighter loads.

Hi guys. Very normal and boring day today! Check ins and a LOT of work for MAD. Broke up the day with a few walks but pretty much been at my laptop all day, how boring. Tomorrow will be a little more eventful.

Hiya Tobias, I agree with Kamara. If your look is unaffected (no bloating/digestive issues or water retention) there’s no real need to cut these out.
