I personally wouldn’t – I’d aim to get a little leaner before pushing up

BUT it depends on your goals are you looking to compete? If so you need to be a little leaner before going into a large push phase

If it’s to get lean for a holiday or a look you want to maintain are you happy with this and ready to add food back in?

Are you doing it correctly? I always find I feel it in my bicep if bend the arms and use my shoudlers too much?

Idea is to drive the elbows accrosss the chest.

Is this being done on a machine or cable set up?

Dieting post a heavy push IMO is never a smart idea as you really run the risk of loosing the hard earned tissue you’ve worked for quick

From here personally and what we do with our clients is I’d drop to maintenance calories – alongside maintance training volume since cals will be a little lower so recovery will be a little lower. I’d sit there for 4-5 weeks (you will most likely improve body comp in this time anyway) and the id go into a diet – aggressive in and out get the job done.

This is why we opt to do the pre prep diet also for the same reasons as above

    Happy Tuesday

Today has been a normal Tuesday – check ins, food prep, butchers run, dog walk

    and then to the gym….

Pull day today – some good progress in the gym. Back to doing the upper back row how we had been doing it the most of off-season we’d made some adjustments and how gone back to what we’re were doing previously as it just looks and feels better. A little more fatigued towards the end of the session so had to fight a little more to keep things in a good place but still all very positive

Rest day tomorrow with some in person check ins, work, lecture and time with Kuba c

The best way is boiling water and fill above the cream of rice – add to the microwave and will have zero grainy texture more like angel delight type texture –

I like to add a paste of whey not mix in as I think that sometimes can change the texture

    Hey Guys

    Hope you’re doing good!

So yesterday was check in day – pics are added below. Kuba has dropped food a little bit much change and food is still really high – condition is coming in nicely for this point out but definitely time to see some more movement (how fucking exciting paaaaaa)

I will add my diet below as a lil message for you.

Leg day yesterday solid session still very very strong which is amazing wooo!

Not much change to hunger from adjustments – rest day is always a hungrier day even in offseason but that’s all good – can’t wait to be shredded

Hey! I sometimes get a little niggle when pulling usually in my QL I find it’s a muscle that gets irritated quite easily especially if using heavy loading and just haven’t yet built enough strength in the area. That plus a lack of core tension bracing the whole and over compensating to get the bar moving my rounding and jerking – may be worth rolling with another hinge that doesn’t hurt for a while building up strength before moving back x

    Hey Guys

Rest day here – a lovely massage this morning and a nice long walk with the puppies along with lots of work done – heading into the busy part of the season for competitors now which will be super fun.

This afternoon me and Kuba had some chill time and we also met up with my beautiful friend Harley who is getting married really soon – me and Kuba are very excited for it!

It depends really – what’s your goal? Do you compete?

I don’t personally think it’s something you’d want to run alongside your BB if you’re aiming to compete as it will pull away from your BB

If you don’t compete I see no reason why you can’t implement it into your week – is probably do it one rest day per week and if you really enjoy it why not!

    Hello All

Hope you’ve all had a great day

Pull day for us here – a solid session full of progress – the first exercise I do has had a real stall for a good few sessions now I’ve had this in my training for some time so I’m going to move to the cables for the same movement just in a different setting – I’d mentioned it to Kuba and he said to swap it out!

Rest day tomorrow another massage too (who am I getting 2 massages in a week haha doesn’t get a proper one for a year and has 2 in a week 😹 must be getting old!)
