Hey Guys
Happy Thursday
Hope you’ve all had a wonderful day –
Great day in the office today – I have some niggly bicep tendons so need to give it and old stretchy to get it all bang on 🙂

I actually wanted to touch on a little topic of forced rest.
We’ll all have times of these when we get poorly.
I know lots of people worry and stress – of “loosing the gains” or not having that outlet / happy place like the gym is to many.
But training and being there when these situations are happening sometimes make us worse, make recovery longer and stress you even more because the session just isn’t optimal
You do have to use your head over your heart when it comes to this especially if your love for training is like mine and runs deep. The gym will be back before you know it and when your there with your health back at 100% you can rock and roll full pelt again!
Thank you for sharing this Meg ??? also can we take a minute to appreciate this physique update and the past few weeks you’ve had of being poorly? WTF ??
Not a problem lady and thank you hehe ? xxMeg Sylvester IFBBPRO

Rest day here.
A lovely day – work, an extend dog walk and back to work.
I also had my 3rd laser hair session – I’ve always had a super fluffy body ? added in a little bit of assistance to the mix and I was just very aware of my fluff, so I started a course of laser hair the back end of last year I’ve seen incredible results so far and excited to see the end product!!

I agree with Oscar here.
Do you ever see a Chiro/Phyiso? Is there tightness there? Is there lack of mobility causing the issue?
This could be rectified with some mobility movements.
Like Oscar says without more info just speculating
Some unilateral work may help but some answers to the questions above could help

I agree with the above that really controlling the negative to make sure as you come into the hole you aren’t dropping it down you can keep tension there
I think it’s a great way to understand how full ROM looks and feels also

Yes I do totally agree with Clare when you are bodybuilding on a serious level weighing raw will keep things nice and accurate for you.
People who don’t like “gen pop” can do the cooked weights as little grams here and there aren’t as important for us, I get my non competitor clients to cook from raw a few times as long as cooking in the same way get an average weight of cooked and stick to that
But honestly I find bulk cooking from raw so easy and simple that it would be time effective to do if that way too

A great couple of days in the gym!
Leg day was yesterday and what a great session.
3 plates on the cybex smith for 12 good reps. Will progress a little with load next time as long as the warm ups feel great so excited to keep moving forwards with this
Then 3 plates on the nautilus press for 11 good reps.
Being in an “off cycle” phase to be isn’t a time to accept getting “weaker” the muscle mass is still there to keep things moving. Just have to play close attention to recovery a little more so. But all systems go here ?

Check In Day and Rest day
Today was day 7 of my “cruise” period. As I was ill a lot over the past few weeks I actually look a little fuller and rounder everywhere today.
I’m excited for this phase. Had a little sit down to plan out my meals as definitely just the rice I can’t get down atm so switching those for other sources to see how appetite goes. So far today very good. So wise decision to make sure I can keep the push going for some time before I need to switch out.
I have added some pics below for you – sat at 69.3 today.

I think the fact you’re honest to say you can’t hack or do a longer cut is great, being self aware is a great trait imo.
With your goal being lifestyle and having a great physique year round.
I see no harm in cutting hard leading into your holiday.
But post perhaps having a better mindset and plan of attack would be best for “lifestyle” purposes you don’t have to eat tiny amounts to maintain a good look year round it’s just being a little more mindful with calories in and calories out so you don’t have to do these drastic cuts.
Will help you lead a healthier life if you can do this.
Thanks Meg! How would be best to avoid excess weight gain post holiday as calories would be low leading into it?
On a side note, how on earth do guys keep consistently lean physiques year round?! I know this is a broad question but it always seems next to impossible to keep at that lean point
Not a problem.
Like Haider said it’s about building things back up slowly and yes you’ll be hungry but will have to bite the bullet once to be able to get things done properly onceWhen on holiday be smart enjoy yourself with food but you don’t need to over do it and make sure your moving around not just sitting.
Post holiday slowly bring your foods up. And start trying to understand macros with being able to swap between different protein, carb, fat sources – keeping it fresh will probably help with sticking with it too

Hey All
Hope you’ve had a great Saturday
Client work, zoom call, training, eating, cooking.
Just a normal day 🙂
A great day in the gym too, feeling a little more like me which is awesome.
Feeling like I may need to have a little appetite reset via a pull back soon, I can eat I have a BIG appetite so when it goes a little south we know we’ll have to action to make sure we can get back to pushing. I’ve been stubborn with this in the past and just continued to push and just don’t really see anything get better
So I need to be smart especially with such a long offseason ahead x

Hey Guys
So I’ve not had much look. Haven’t spoke about it much but got super sick again on Tuesday night – Wednesday night. Not ideal.
But feel like I have my fire back today. It’s been a rough few weeks, hoping to leave it behind.
It’s affected the look a little obviously but weight I’ve worked hard to keep on with the sickness and I have so one thing to be happy about
It is what it is I can’t control it just have to push on from here
RDL PB today and back to feeling like me, lovely stuff
