Push day today.
So we have added in some pauses to help standardise control and tempo as we get a lil leaner. My numbers are still rising but I found myself rushing a few sets last week to get the numbers I wanted. This can’t happen if I want to maintain the mass as much as I can that I’ve worked hard to gain.
Yes now that we added in assistance over the weekend this will aid with this but it’s not magical.
A little thought from me – we were planning on 4 shows this season I still don’t have enough mass to crack top 3 so I’m thinking 2 shows over 2 weekends and then back into offseason. There are a few thing we’ve learnt over offseason and the first part of this prep that will help things push hard into the growing phase so I’m excited for that

It’s a hard truth that post dieting is worse than when you dieting. You get that first bite if something more and your tummy wants more.
It’s about having good structure to your day, drinking more, keeping active and learning to say no and sticking to your reverse to make the most out of the phase. If you say yes you’ll just gain lots of unnecessary weight

I agree with Clare if movements still feel like they move right then for sure your ready for the session. I’d say it’ll take my body part a couple days to feel fresh again if it doesn’t that’s when it’s time to take precaution x

I agree with the guys above it’ll be the source causing the issue rather than all carbs being an issue. Each person is different and some people do have to push harder but honestly with the reaction your getting sounds like it’s something not quite agreeing with you. Have you also looked into any sweetners or diet additions your having that could be causing this also

Pull Day
The morning was normal with check ins, Josie work, food prep to do.
The session was strong I push all weights up in my lifts and hit more reps so I’m pretty happy.
We added in assistance back in from Wednesday after 26 weeks off. I’ve actually decided to compete a week earlier so will be 10 weeks out as of tomorrow. Exciting times!

I agree cardio is good to do in the offseason to keep fitness levels up. Will aid Perfomance and recovery especially with how your feeling between your sets I think it would be beneficial to add some. It way be good you’ve added weight but if the look is sloppy you may need to take a bit of back step from pushing as gaining too much too quick can be detrimental to progress
