With regard to insulin sensitivity- is this done because you’re using slin?

I don’t take slin buddy, just helps with natural reponse.

pull day today, great session fuelled by Prepare. My focus is crazy along with the pumps, it seems to pick up as the workout goes on aswell. Had some extra food yesterday so made use of it. The rest of the day is for chilling and a sports massage from the wife, spoilt….

Probably not the best approach for an Ectomorph.

    Hey m8,
I do no carbs on training days. I have a high protein and fat approach diet which I’ve refined over the years. My insulin sensitivity is always very good and my blood work is clean on such a diet. Its not for everyone tho. I do 6 meals 60g P, 25g F.

I would suggest seeing a good massage therapist to see if there is an underlying issue. They can help to remove scar tissue and improve mobility. I would also ensure you warm up correctly before training, particularly the rotator cuffs, i personally use resistance bands

Hey, have you just finished a course, have you taken T3, have you been on a contest prep? are you having any symptoms?

Agree with Clare on the veg sources, i got too experimental last yr and tried various veg that resulted in bad guts so i just stuck to a little broccoli, green beans and spinach. Maybe try switching chicken for turkey or fish. I can’t eat chicken without getting bad guts now, i know many who have had the same issue. peppermint teas are also great for helping digestion.

Rest day today, lots of social events this bank holiday weekend, something i missed out on alot last year so really enjoying the no prep so far. obviously i always like to stay trim.but when i compete im 100% strict so i never go out for food so I’m abit of a bore for the wife. I remember hosting bbqs last yr cooking everyone burgers, sausages halloumi etc and i had fish and veg. So im embracing the offseason until me and JP decide to put the hammer down. Hope your all enjoying the weather and.some eggs if.you can.

I would say eat low carb for all your meals with maybe the exception on 1, which could be a meal of your choice. Keep cardio in to an extent and 1000 to 2000mg VitC a day. Its important you continue to eat regularly like you did on prep with the same food sources before you start introducing more food over time. I found the one meal off a day post comp helped me avoid massive water retention and bloat. Harry is currently doing the same with a good response, i also continue my training but drop the weight a little and ensure im hydrated.

liquid is your friend on prep. Hot drinks can help suppress appetite, coffee, decaf coffee, herbal teas etc. I also like to blend EAAs with ice to make a slush puppy if im super hungry.
