    I personally ain’t doing any flat presses of that exact reason.. have experienced a few strains .. staying away from flat def helped!

    Tear would be the worst!

    yer i don’t flat press either buddy, looks like i will have to reassess my chest movements now.

    push day today. Felt strong after some extra food yesterday, moved 250kg for reps on the iso press then moved onto 75kg dumbs and on the 8th rep something went in my right pec. I new i hadn’t torn it as there was no noise but i stopped straight away. Its tender now so probably done some minor damage. I moved onto shoulders and triceps and will rest my chest for a few days before getting some treatment. I think i need to start being abit more senible now, a pec tear is game over in bbuilding. So a close call but i live to fight another day.

    I’ve done this so many times deep into a set, especially with heavy db’s. it’s never on the first few always towards to latter end of the set so I am always super skeptical now with chest and know when to back off. Hope it recovers quick bud and glad it wasn’t more serious

    oooo shoot….sorry to hear about the pec…so odd to have happened on the 8th rep! hard to say that wasn’t sensible really – do u think it was the movement ie DBS and the vulnerability of the joint to stabilise? rather than the weight?

    do u find a slight incline to be safer?

    I had it on a slight incline, maybe just moved out of place slightly on that reo so yer maybe i will stay away from Dbells for abit as Its alot of work just bringing them up and down. It could have been a lot worse so just going to be sensible for abit now and nurse that pec.

    Hey, i have had many clients with this, i use the blood type diet that provides you with a list of foods that should suit your blood type that includes avoids, neutral and beneficial. I have had great success over the years with this diet and use it myself. Have a look into it, obviously you can do the trial and error process but atleast you will have a list of foods that you can choose from and Its definitely worth a trial.

    pull day today, decided to turn this week into abit of a deload after yesterdays pec issue. Had some deep tissue work done on my back and will wait till the end of the week then get some work on the pec. Really hit me today how it could have been the end of bodybuilding for me had i torn my pec, atleast competitive bbuilding. Once the pec goes it just doesnt look right and from a judges perspective you lose points before you even start, particularly in the IFBB pro league, they mark down heavily for tears, gyno and guts. I will definitely be making more sensible decisions when it comes to push days.

    Would be good to see your current composition too. Sometimes dropping bfat can do wonders for increasing appetite and building muscle, you may also need a deload week, if your fatigued, not sleeping well then these can all impact appetite so there are many factors.

    Here we go Ryan I will add some photos, I am 6’2 220lbs

    I also take L-Glutamine at 10g every morning and with my current work schedule I train very early in the morning (5am but wake up at 330am to eat a meal and let it digest before training and then I’m asleep by 830-9pm)

    looks like your doing all the right things buddy, maybe look at the foods that are causing you to feel bloated, so a case of trial and error. Like Hilly said remove the Tren and see if that helps. Have you got a list of your staple foods, we may be able to spot potential foods that are causing the bloating.

    If your looking to add additional calories without becoming to bloated then you have tools like coconut oil, nut butter, oils, certains cheeses. Aslong as you have a calorie surplus then the rest is train, recover, repeat. I use 10g L-glutamine every morning before i eat to aid digestion. You could also do some light cardio 1st thing to get your digestive system moving. I wouldn’t want to force food to the point where your gassy and bloated so there is a fine line. Use foods that digest well and if your appetite is small use high calorie easy to eat foods.
