I use asdas own brand turkey bacon and 2 slices is 15g protein. Its 85% turkey with little else in ingredients list which is similar to the bacon medallions that @hilly y suggests but i just dont like pork.

    Hi Sean,

If you watch the pharmacology talk, you will see that AAS aren’t just specific to the androgen receptor; so your Dr is correct that there could be interactions at the glucocorticoid receptor. However, its hard to say if the AAS would provide a positive benefit tbh or hinder the action of the glucocorticoid compound – but they will be in competition with each other.

Anything which has the potential to trigger autoimmunity should be kept under control with colitis.

I see there is no mention of the veggies and sauerkraut etc as before. Have you just not listed them or have you removed them from diet. Are you taking any supps for fibre.

Really looking forward to following the log as i myself am being tested with ibd at the moment. Could you outline how your diet is and what supplements you take you feel helps. Do you have any issues with veg/fibre etc and when you get flare ups do you change anything in your set up.

Im trying to get most fibre from soluble fibre and on reading up that was coming up as a main source compare to husk etc.

Are you struggling to get soluble fibre into your diet? Oats, legumes, nuts, various fruits and vegetables such as sweet potatoes, avocados, sprouts, broccoli, asparagus are all great sources. If you need to add more, however, I think psyllium husk is a good option which can be sprinkled on food.

    Dean

Currently still being assessed with iBD but have you worked with anybody with the condition and mainly the Diarrhea type to be able to control it. The doctors wont supply any medication or help until they have it diagnosed which leaves me in limbo with how long waiting lists are. Eating wise im also on the fence with should i be low fibre or high fibre etc but have removed adding any additional fats in diet which appears to have helped but only slightly. Any help appreciated and im sure others would like the knowledge also as it seems to be a thing a lot suffer from but nobody wants to speak about it.

@hilly would be good to hear your thoughts on this also bud.

Haider have you removed the veggies from your diet now as there is no mention of them like before.

Hey man. No I haven’t. Apologies. I just completely forgot. I always have spinach with my meal 1 on both training and rest days and I also have onion and tomato with that too. Then I’ll have spinach with my meal before the yogurt meal on training days and rest days I have broccoli with my salmon and chicken meals. I every now and then add courgette and garlic to these meals too

Haider thanks for the reply and just wondered as alot of people are on a big craze of more veggies and fruits at the moment but then most guys like yourself and others who appear to be doing well dont actually have that much.
