    QUADS
    Todays session was a success. My knees felt fresh after the period of high rep exposure, so I was able to really load them maximally , hitting 400kg on leg press . Very happy with that as it’s an all time PB .
    Bulgarian split squats are getting better too .. absolutely done in & it’s bedtime .
    Cannot wait for rest day tomorrow & a treatment..

    Hello Adam , during the lockdown I had access to the gym between 5:00am & 7:00am only so in trained fasted.

    If you can I’d have your pre bed meal as carb based , make sure you are very well hydrated too .

    You could also train with a intra workout shake that you’d start sipping on your way to the gym . That way by the time you are mid session you’ve gone through the shake and the carbs are in your system. : )

    Thanks Oscar. Sounds like you found a goof routine. Do you mind me asking how productive you found this training for you? And have you now reverted back to training later in the day? If so, out of choice, or just to fit in with your current lifestyle?
    Any suggestions for a carb based pre bed meal? I don’t like going to bed after a traditional meal, so something easier to stomach, such as a shake/liquid food would be better. Any recommendations welcome.

    It was productive. I made so much progress. After all I did not have a choice . It was that or nothing.
    Now it came down to mindset, which Keira mentions .. everything will always come down to that .
    Yes I have reverted to training later in the day about 2:00pm, because I prefer to have 3 meals in me, 3 litres of water & I also work in the mornings as I work in the city centre and that by default matches with the time I train .
    I would prefer having something solid like rice & by the time you are up it’s digested and you are ready to go .

    Not much to report today if I’m honest . Boring bits , adulting abs preparing for the week ahead .
    Highlight of my day has to be Clare barks winning her pro card .. I am absolutely ecstatic for her .. ?

    Hello will , you could potentially still run a PPL but with 2 push rotations. One to prioritise the chest , The other to prioritise shoulders, but you’d still do a bit of chest here .
    OR
    You could run a
    Sunday – off
    Monday – Chest & shoulders
    Tuesday- Back
    Wednesday- off
    Thursday- Shoulders & arms a bit of chest
    Friday – legs
    Saturday- off

    CHEST & BACK
    Tricep behaved today but still not out of the woods completely with it as couldn’t perform the tricep dip . But everything else was a go .
    Back session was productive too . All in all happy as I did not think I’d be pressing today .
    Tomorrow we rest 🙂

    REST DAY
    It’s been a very busy day ..quite longer than normal , but we are thankful.
    Work was very busy today so I was occupied with that for Majority of the day.
    Back home quite tired , shower , granola & bed .
    A full chest/back workout awaits Tomorrow 🙂

    HAMS & GLUTES
    So a mix and Match today . As I didn’t train quads on Monday , I threw in 2 sets of leg press .
    Kept the reps high ish just to cover a bit of volume over 2 sets, but kept the rest of the session glute/ham focused.
    The work got done & we are looking forward to rest day tomorrow before we go again 🙂

    Max is bang on here with everything he points out .
    For me it’s the word ‘obsessed’ that gets me to think right away that you are getting to a point of over analysis here which eventually creates paralysis in the end .
    Whilst your intentions are good and are to fully bias the quad , during that process you have to be pragmatic and any options that’ll limit load exposure need to be looked at twice .
    So find a medium ground & as max mentions , play with different wedges and machines but IMO I’ll always go with the stance and the set up where I’m the most strongest whilst still with the best intent of bias .

    DELTS & ARMS
    Decent session this afternoon.. the road to 6pps on the Atlantis shoulder press continues with 230kg moving for 6 good reps . Relatively happy with that as I only twinged something on my tricep this morning helping a client out ? so was not even sure if I’d be pressing this afternoon.
    The rest of the session was hit and miss with the tricep isolation movements as some aggravated the niggle and some didn’t.
    We will rest it for now and see how it is for Saturday push session.. if symptoms persist a treatment is due next Tuesday anyway.
    Other than that , I am just happy to be back on the gym floor after the Largey that set on me the last 3 days or so . 🙂

    REST DAY
    A much better day today . Very positive day as I have made steps forward in regards to my recovery.
    Still feel mild symptoms which I plan to shut down by having an early night tonight.
    Tomorrow is delts & arms & I plan to go at it .. I have gone over board on hydration today & the plan is to do the same tomorrow. 🙂
