As Darren alludes above , 2 weeks into a cut your performance should not be taking a hit yet . So the answer might be out of the gym in all other variables.

This is good progress for 6 mounts mate. Well done . Personally at 18 I was still faffing about chasing girls and that …lol wish I started earlier. You have done well so far .
At 18 years old the world is your oyster and you can pretty much take this physique wherever you want to my man.

Pull this afternoon..hips though feeling new , are still sore AF..
So replaced my hip hinge with a chest supported row for upper back .
Feel a bit fatigued & a bit run down but it’s a day off tomorrow so going to rest up and see how I feel by the end of the day .
If still crap , I’ll take an extra day off the following day before I hit up legs .

I finally had my Treatment today … seen the chiropractor and he did not disappoint.
He really went in hard and explained everything as he went through the treatment..
Really calmed me down as I’d thought it was something serious but all it is , is a strained perifomis which in turn shuts the glute max & mid and transfers everything to the QL and other lower back muscles.
A good rest for the rest of the day .
It’s currently 7:45pm and I am typing this from bed ready to call it a night ,I am that battered .

These are things best tried and then see if it works .

It depends on your needs , it depends on body parts … say on pull I do 3-4 , on push chest ,shoulder press and tricep dip , on legs two leg press & smith squat … so as you can see there’s no straight answer … to your question anyway.
Best question to ask would be are you managing to recover from the volume you are doing at the moment/?
If your performance has stalled, then your physique will follow as the physiques progress is dependent on performance. And the performance dependent on recovery which is under pinned by sleep , digestion, stress management, hydration, electrolyte balance .
So your answer possibly lies within the above variables as opposed to mixing things up . ?
I think the main thing I need to do from your answer is learn and understand my body a little more as to what volume and frequency I can recover too. Do you judge this purely of DOMS? Or is there another way to look at recovery needs.[/quote]
Absolutely, focus on bio feedback. Focus on progress in the gym floor & how often you are stalling on lifts , focus on how often you are battered, and need to deload or devolume.

Day off training today . Nice lie in this morning followed by a pretty chilled day .
Visited a friend who’s had a new baby .. Spent time with him and the family .. it was a nice afternoon.

Leg day
A good session I’d say. Nothing phenomenal, just got work done where I could on presses and focused on just filling my quads with blood.
Chiropractor ??⚕️ appointment on Monday so I am absolutely buzzing.
Feeling very optimistic as between me, the osteopath and the chiropractor we should be able to get to the bottom of this and find a way forward.
