LEG DAY
Slow start after pulling TVA while dismounting the adductor machine . Absolutely pissed off. Still managed to do the whole workout.

Hey guys, I wrote an update here yesterday but it doesn’t seem it posted. So I’ll do it again. Great pull workout for me yesterday. First of 2 rotations, all lat movements are unilateral here as really it’s the most optimal way to train the lat.
I however do not struggle with engaging my lats, and can still get a lot from bilateral movements. However the better you are at using one limb the better you will be at using both..

Hey T, yes off course you’d be able to not only n use that routine but make good psyched forward with your physique if you knuckle down. Just control other variables in your control like diet, sleep, stress management, and hydration. You’d be surprised

My heels raise when I go lower and feel weaker.
Wohkd it be best to reduce the weight or go higher on the platform this less knee flexion
I’m with Jordan here , the lower your feet placement the more the quad is challenged but it will humble you as the more accurate you get the less load you can use at first … so you have to think to yourself, do you just want to squat heavy weight and feel good in yourself but not really maximise the outcome or do you want to squat efficiently and in line with the adaptation you are after and grow your quads ? :

Push day and we are back baby after a weekend of rest. Big PB’s taken on all presses & everything felt good .
Mood was up and we had jay Magicmedia film this one for the site. So keep your eyes out for this one.

Very much hoping my body starts adapting to the hayfever situation as I carry a fair amount of body fluid from it as well when it’s bad my body gets so inflamed
But regardless I know at this stage I am in a deficit and the bodyweight and look will follow suit even if there is a film of fluid covering progress

Leg day today , and with the split bring adjusted back to PPL we needed another rotation for frequency added.
Pivot press it was , happy to have it back . We aired caution on the loading side as last time my adductor was playing up . That has been sorted so next tome we will bump things up

I have a question regarding the pivot press. Do you consider it better to work inner thighs compared with a normal leg press? I´m using cybex leg press for that purpose in my quad focus day but i have a atlantis pivot press also available.

Yes, my quad day structure is this:
– Prime plate loaded leg ext (peak resistence at top)
– Banded hack squat (more narrow stance for quad sweep)
– Cybex leg press (wide stance for inner thighs)
– Prime Adductor (peak resistence in stretch position)
– Prime seated leg curl (peak resistence in stretch position)
– Gluteator
– Standing calf raises
– Seated calf raises
2 Work sets/ex (top + back off)
I also have available seated leg press and pendulum (i use pendulum on hams + glute workout)

For me if you have a hack squat and a seated leg press I’d use those for quads. Otherwise the other leg presses like the pivot , what I do is just put my feet stance where I’m the strongest and able to move as much weight as possible. And with the pivot the foot plate is already set in a certain way to bias certain muscles..so I do not over think . Jordan adjusted the split back to PPL after last weeks check in. so a second rotation was in order. RDL’s are back in after a long time and I prefer it that way because now there will be a higher chance I surpass my previous performance ceiling this time round. There’s only a small pool of movements to rotate from, so it’s important you are utilising these well and squeezing everything from your current movements before swapping to another movement mostly seeking novelty . As you approach your strength ceiling and movements are getting harder , and you are having to dig in hard mentally and physically, sometimes just working for reps or are able to add a biscuit, these are the times to stand 10 toes and grit your teeth forcing progress. During times like these you literally dread walking into the gym floor, that’s when the magic happens, but most are quick to swap movements, mostly to stuff that you are good at.

I like rope crunches …I think it trumps the others in terms of stability profile. You are on your knees on the floor …very little can go wrong … master your breathing and it’s a very good movement

Not the best session today …..not much to report either… but I had a bit of a cloudy head ? with some personal issues.
Off to bed tomorrow is another day …. A wise man once said if you can meet triumph and disaster and treat those to imposters then same then you best believe you’ve started your business.
