Dean your body really suited that well , as you know I’m monitoring to see how leg strength and mass holds and then tailor those decisions accordingly . I was so pleased with ur prep last year. We did well bud 🙂

Atm I want my sessions to burn as many cals as possible , I don’t use cardio as a fat loss tool, my legs just shrink. Last year I took steps to 10k a legs shrunk , the year
Before the same. This year kept my steps to a mimimum and my legs are still around 29.5 inches , filled up they would be 30s and they are super lean now. So let’s focus on another question : at what point should cardio be used as a tool? So I have coached HUNDREDS of people and there is huge variation in who can handle liss, hiit and then training how I train. So we need a caloric deficit to Achieve fat loss , I think for some , you can take cals as low as they need to go, be it even 7-8 cals per pound bodyweight , which is ultra low , but if they are rested enough to train hard they will get in shape without losing any muscle. Then you will have some people that at 10 cals per pound will do better with more food and then dropping into a deficit by adding cardio. There is NO fixed number at which then cardio is a requirement , it’s a totally person dependent thing.
Corinne has her steps go to circa 15,000 in a prep and loses no muscle at all in her legs. So what you have to work out is, how do I keep all my muscle from offseason while getting shredded , without losing any body parts. To me , it’s the worst look in the world when legs have whittled away to nothing , that’s why I dropped prep last year as my legs went down to 27.5 inches, they literally died on me. I’m not putting that crap onstage , even if they would be bigger than others, mine are 29+ legs that have worked so hard for.So atm, my sessions are 2.5-3 hours long , and I use 5-6 sets of 12-20 rep of leg compound moves, 2 Times a week for quads .
Then same again for hams . To absolutely ramp cal expenditure . Now if I still had to do more… which I dont , but Corinne likely will when she preps as she got a bit too fat , that session may need to split am /pm , gives scope for more volume again , and at the end of the quad session , can add hiit but something very heavy , like heavy prowler work. So basically more leg work 🙂I hope that answers the questions that some of you may have 🙂

Pharmgrade , but try not to worry too much about stuff like that. Did you beat your log book is the priority question for the session, not what did you drink during 🙂

Am so eager to get in and train tmo. Going to condense the session in terms of exercises a bit just to solely pick the moves tmo that really hit me well. I don’t like the seated Ham here , so instead will do extra lying and rdl , opposed to wasting 2 sets on something that feels a bit meh

And yup 🙂 , I could go into more detail, number of chews before each swallow, speed of fork movement from plate to mouth . Angle of fork . So many technical aspects that could be addressed haha 🙂

Cooked rice , usuallly I take a fork and put the rice in my mouth, chew , swallow. Until it’s all gone. Then I drink the whey 🙂

Amazing session, fitness is really improving , 12s feel easy on smith squats after doing 20s on the hack Friday. At last it’s time for some cardarine I feel to boost the 5×20 output , as it’s still fucking hard for me , but if I can get really damn gd at them it will be a rep range I have never excelled in, which would be a novel stimulus , which means legs will grow 🙂 . Chats with Dr Dean today about some exciting stuff me and him have planned, we will reveal more soon 🙂 . Defo keeping me distracted from prep sifting through literature
