The session I’m really looking forward to , will be super hard but at this weight my fitness will be gd and I’m on enough cals that I won’t fatigue , so I expect this week to be one of the most fun all prep 🙂

So I would usually just max out , so like 320x 5 , 285/290 x 7 , 250/255 x 12 , would be numbers in one session

Ok so deads for me are another lift that is hugely limited by fitness . I cannot pull heavy for reps when in offseason. I literally can’t do more than 5s it seems with any kind of load. Il do like 220kg and gas out by 8-9 reps , but I have pulled it for 16 reps when at my fittest.
So I personally when heavy, just do a couple sets of 5-6 reps and then I tend to rotate the exercise with a rack pull /block pullWhen fit , I will pull maybe 3 sets 5-7 , 7-10, 10-12 . That is my fav way

For those that notice ; I v rarely
Go above 10 when I’m super heavy. Because the set literally just dies because you just can’t get the oxygen in / to muscles. So when I’m that heavy I end up doing lots more low rep work and just getting super strong In that range. Once I’m fit , I maximise the ranges I couldn’t in offseason. We know they pose the same

The 300 pounders in here will know exactly what I mean about 12s jumping to 20s .So hit the 8-12 rep work , get super strong

When I’m fit I can still move some really gd loads for high reps, yday I was very strong. The fitness aspect plays a huge huge role in my training , so I make the most of higher rep work . Basically what I was able to maybe do for 12s in offseason I did for 20s yday.

I think the constant tension aspect Sas mentions is a must . Be sure that your initiating with your hams, nothing else on your body moves, be sure your contracting the Ham hard and then slowly controlling as lengthen the Ham.

They took me longer than that. For me to warm up properly for say leg press it would take 5-10 mins , to warm up for stiff legs the same. It’s not wrong if that’s how long it takes. I can imagine that is a very intense 45 mins
