    Fab training session today, came on a few days ago & gosh the difference is MENTAL. I don’t feel I’m dragging my self through the sessions at all, I really find I have to force my self in the weeks leading up to my cycle which takes the enjoyment out a little, I still train as hard, it’s important to switch off from my emotions as really I’d never get anywhere if I diddnt as it last for a long duration of time,

    But wow, today was fun.. excited for the next couple of weeks!

    Glute med kick back

    Smith hip thrust

    1×10-12

    1×12-15

    B-stance rdl

    2×12-15

    Single leg press

    2×12-15

    Abductor

    I’d work on your breath work, breathing in to your chest through your nose, & out through your mouth on the explosive part of the set, potentially also, if it’s a fitness issue, you may want to add some form of cardio in, this could really help improve your sessions.

    It’s pretty normal before the end of your set when pushing close to failure.. but if your struggling during hopefully this helps!

    Rest day, a trip to Mac aesthetics today, for polynucleotides, which is a derivative of salmon / trout dna, and it is used to regenerate aswell as rejuvenate the skin, I’ve been doing alot of work since stepping off of stage here to help improve my skin heading into my next contest prep!

    The rest of my day will just be work, steps & rest!!

    I agree with Clare as above, if you are not gaining then yes you need to eat more if this is the current goal, we can’t not add fat whilst in a surplus but good whole food choices instead of processed definitely help this from my experience over the years, is your diet whole foods?

    I agree with Oscar, I wouldn’t train these back to back, I’d just continue from the Sunday too.. I train one day on one day off split & if I’ve needed to, this is the approach I have been advised to take also!

    Since being back to training now for a fair few weeks I’ve really hit a nice run way of progression which is super exciting & getting me hyped for the progress we can make between now and the Olympia prep! 🥲

    Rest day today for me, some client work, a food shop, a nap & a trip to Smyths toys for Marc’s daughter’s birthday that is coming up.. a Sunday spent with her keeps me on my toes, a nice family day 🫶 ready for a big week ahead, dropping a 6 week challenge & working on our brand! Exciting week ahead!

    Agree with the others above, time & consistency with this programming, but also just to be sure, are you eating in a calorie surplus alongside this?

    Training day today, a decent session this morning, a mix of upper and lower ⬇️

    Glute med kick back

    Reverse hyper

    Glute max kick back (kneeling) (new)

    Then a day pretty much off of work minus a few check ins this morning with an afternoon spent with marc & his daughter.

    I was going to try & explain it, but I found a video.. https://youtu.be/inxW0UX9b5A?si=cFfP9U0aS7aYDkEx – I used to do these to help as I really struggled to feel my lats just like Louis mentioned above.. however, if it’s not a mind to muscle issue, then I would definitely suggest seeing a physio if you feel like they are winging to as the others have said above.

    Today was a rest day, well spent, a little different to normal with a shoot for the new clothing range for tbjp, definitely a REAALLLYYY great range!

    Excited to get in the gym again tomorrow for another glute session with a mix of upper!!

    Training volume and allocation is on a needs basis. For example if a muscle group needs more development then allocate volume to allow for growth but also recovery. I agree with what Jordan has said with only choice movements that cause little to no pain. But what I will add is when bodyweight is higher generally this is where your joints can feel become more sore due to being heavier. This is where you need to adjust exercise selection so you have less impact on your joints. If you aren’t doing so already, regular de-loads will help you to drop off inflammation in your joints.

    Hey people happy Thursday, today was a training day for me, had a great session, I wasn’t sure if I’d be ok today but I was, randomly last night I was sick, we think it was hormonal :/ but today I was fine, energy dropped towards the end of my session but pushed through, feeling really good with where I’m currently at in my offseason after a few posing rounds post workout to!!

    A busy evening of preparing for the TBJP shoot which is tomorrow & an early night!!
