It’s not bud, when someone is insulin sensitive that one meal matters so the pre workout meal… you don’t train of what you ate 12-24 hours ago that’s nonsense

You see this is my point. And where info is confusing. There is fact out there and reality of how it works. Science.
Hilly gave his input. Which is polar opposite to yours.
    Which is the reality??
I agree with what you say about helping. But is it really helping if the info and opinion given is wrong? Who is right here? @hilly coming from a uni background. Or you in real world practical setting with more muscle.
It’s not personal. It’s simply a question. One says one thing. One says another. Then 10x more people pick a side and say repeat the view……but nobody steps in can back up or confirm the info.
    Your reply is “that’s nonsense”.
Why? Explain it. Show why you have that view and people will learn
    What about carb backloading? [/quote]
It’s not polar opposite it’s actually a discussion of 2 different things.

What you eat 2-3 hours pre gyn is not being used as glycogen in your muscle in reality as it hasn’t been converted n stored.
It is being used for brain activity and other functions.
So it has use and will be used but in general eating 1 hour or 3 hours prior to a 45-60 min gym workout alters nothing.
    However
When you are 260lb n you train for 2-3 hours like kuba/ jordan do them it becomes more important as does intra workout nutrition.
The more muscle / body weight / strength you have the more you will deplete n the more performance effective.
I’m 200lb on stage – strength is ok
My glycogen requirements are much less than kuba and Jordan for example that around 230-250 on stage and are some of the strongest BB walking the planet lol.
Is it gd to get a solid meal in 90-120 mins pre. Yes of course
Will it make or break a normal persons results. No long as you have been eating during the day.
Intra – fact is there is little evidence to say it’s worth it. Fact is some of the greatest BB ever in the 90’s n 2000’s didn’t use it.
However I did my dissertation on it n my findings showed it helped n there are thousands of bodybuilders that day it does now.
I can gaurantee the BB of the 70’s 80’s 90’s to today all did n will use anything n everything that may help.

    Ok ok Seth

So if we use what we ate 12-24 hours ago why do we focus mostly with peri workout nutrition ? Each and every meal matters, if I don’t eat after 3 hours especially as I get leaner I start to flatten off.

Yes it does matter what you ate 12-24 hours ago but it certainly matters what you ate since especially around training and hours prior to training if your performance is the goal it it’s paramount to have fuel there before session and intra.

When you eat you use the food you digested within hours…. what you are 12-24 hours prior will have been digested and gone many many hours ago.

If it was the case we wouldn’t need to eat as regular and it would probably be ok to eat one meal per day.

Normal people yeah that’s fine when you are looking to perform to the best of your ability the pre workout meal MATTERS and the few meals prior do.

Had the best rest days, got the halcyon, stim pre workout and EAA delivered (class products!!), the sun boosted the mood no end and last nights workout was really good! Was due to do upper 1 but due to my beautiful assistant being buggered I didn’t have the necessary help with floor press so rotated and did upper 2 instead. Again, just trying to make the best of a shit situation:
    Pendlay rows
    Single arm rows
    Seated reverse flies
    DB pull overs
    Seated DB overhead press
    Lat raises
    DB chest flies
DB behind the head tricep extensions
    DB bicep curls
    Core
12 hour shift today before lower 1, took some pointers from @kuba1000hotmail-co-uk-cielen latest insta video too so going to work hard on ticking all the boxes and paying attention to recovery with a decent bed time tonight!

I think, for the masses. We should have them. This personally is my frustration with the site. 20 athletes will all come in and say the same thing, but when asked. Nobody will back it up or explain it. It’s like paid robots.
The more things are explained, the more they are then understood, the poster and threat readers learn and grow, and as an added bonus the respect for the person increases as they actually under why they are doing something rather than just a group of people all saying the same line but none of them explaining it.
    Don’t

Hey man everyone has different opinions and views so I shared mine which is diff to others. Who’s repeating them self buddy ?

It’s hard my man we all need to help one way or another

If it’s the food eaten 12-24 hours before the workout. Then surely that raises the question- why the need for a set pre workout meal at all?

No negative it would probably mean rest of your meals will be pushed back so that you have to stay up till later to get your meals in bud

Yes bud also after deadlifts don’t do a BOR focus on deadlifts alone placing a BOR after is pointless as your back should be toasted by then

On the upper hit push pull push pull moves alternated.

Upper is perfect for your Saturday as here you can use push and pull moves which I know many pro powerlifting coaches use in every pressing session
So here you want to be alternating every push with a pull my man it will see you progress well

    Bench
    BOR
    High incline press
    chest supported row
    Dip
    Pull down
