Hey buddy, I have to agree with @kuba1000hotmail-co-uk-cielen on this one. You cannot expect to perform in the same way fasted than to eating a few meals. Caffeine won’t give you the fuel that food will.

Morning guys, legs wasn’t too bad yday. Started with some lying DB curls for 3 sets, then done some wall hacks with the foam roller for another 3 sets, moved onto squats but my knees were giving me trouble so just done a few lighter sets. Then moved onto the hanging hamstring pull raises thing 3 sets and called it a day! Had a few more meals and smashed a pizza before bed! Rest day today! Not much planned apart from washing the van and maybe go for a walk in the afternoon!

Hi Dean, sloppy in terms of training or nutrition? Do you want to keep pushing for the minicut?

Hi Louis. Just nutrition. Just over last few week 3-4 cheats a week. Even though I’m in offseason I feel I got sloppy. I was training at a private facility up until 2 week ago but that closed so had to get hold of some equipment. I got a Watson trap bar, a Watson ez bar. 170kg Olympic plates 10,12,5,17.5 and 20kg dumbells. And a set of resistance tubes which are quite geavy
Hi Dean, I’ve been having a few off plan meals myself. Try and cut them down to 1/2 meals per week and up your activity slightly when you do have a meal off! These are hard times for everyone and you are off-season so I wouldn’t overly stress about it.

Hi Louis. I average around 25000 steps a day as I work in a food distribution centre. Even when cutting I have no need for cardio lol
I definitely wouldn’t stress then pal!

Hi Lewis, I don’t really agree with this to a full extent. I do agree that you don’t need to take on large amounts of body fat however with some individuals I feel you do have to push food so high to build muscle that you will store body fat. Myself in particular I have tried and tried to gain muscle while staying relatively lean and it doesn’t work for me. I have to push my calories above 6500 to start gaining on the scale and in the log book. This does cause me to gain body fat. So maybe yes in certain cases some individuals may be able to gain muscle while eating maintenance food but i don’t belive all will.

Hey guys, had a pretty decent upper workout yesterday in the sun! Started off with some standing DB side laterals then moved onto single arm standing DB side laterals, Front raises using a 25kg plate, seated military press where I only worked at 60kgs for 3 sets of 10-12. Moved onto a shallow incline press and then did a rest pause set of pull ups to begin the back portion of the workout. Moved onto some UH BB rows which felt pretty good. Managed to put together a chest supported BB row which felt really good I will keep that in place. I do love doing chest supported back movements! Finished off with some concentration curls and some DB overhead Tricep extensions! Chilled all evening getting my meals in! Fasted weight 94.5kgs today got work this morning then planning to hit some legs!

Hey buddy! I personally don’t think gyms will be open until after July. It’s too hard to control the volume of people in a gym. So I think they will be one of the last places to re open along with excessive cleaning measures.

Good morning! Had a pretty productive little leg session yesterday! Started off with some wall hacks holding a few 15kg dumbells which felt ok on the knees. Then done some lying leg curls with a 15kg dunbells. Moved onto squats and managed a working set of 165kg for 4 reps which is a PB for me. I really struggle with squats but forcing myself to do them every leg session is helping my form. My knees were wrecked after that so the back of set at 150kg was quite painful so I racked it after a few reps and moved onto some RDLs. Finished off with a little calves and then went to work. Got home in the late evening and chilled getting food in. Fasted weight today was 93.6kgs. Need to keep an eye on this. Rest day today!

Thanks Oscar, makes a lot more sense.
Sounds sort of similar to a reverse diet? Or is it a lot faster back to the surplus in order to restore the health markets asap?

Hi Harvey, yes very much the same. The pace of it will depend on how your body is taking the food your putting in. You may find your still losing weight on your reverse diet food which will Indictate you need more calories.

Hey everyone! Had a decent pull workout yesterday! My bicep/elbow area has been hurting the past week or so so just had to be careful! Started off with some pull ups then moved onto bb rows! Then t bar rows and dual DB rows! Shrugs and rear flies then a set of light bicep curls to finish! Chilled all evening getting meals on. Fasted weight was 93.6kgs so it’s dropping I might need to increase food. Hoping to hit legs today! Let’s hope the knees co operate!

Hey buddy, as Clare has mentioned. I don’t think anyone completely relaxed has a flat stomach. Especially not anyone in this industry where we eat a fair amount of food consistently on a daily basis. You could be carrying fat on your lower abs. I carry fat there and it only comes off right before a contest. If you start practising some vacuums it should help control your mid section.
