Hey everyone, had a pretty chilled rest day yday! I’ve been feeling tired so I tried to rest as much as possible. Chilled most of the day went for a 15k bike ride which was pretty chilled then came home ate and chilled on the sofa until bed time! Got all my meals in no problem. Few meals in this morning then gonna train push! See how we get on today!

Hi Keith, it depends really, if you have a rotation of training you can split it up quite easily. For me I always prioritise 1 loading movement per session. So my first upper loading session I would prioritise a chest pressing movement for maximal load, then the following day for my lower loading session I would prioritise RDLs for heavy loading sets, next upper session I would prioritise a heavy back movement like heavy BB Rows. Now in the lower session after this workout I would avoid loading the lower back, I would focus on a lot of lower isolation movements OR use different training principles on squats and rdls such as muscle rounds so we can reduce load on the lower back and still keep intensity. The following upper workout I would prioritise a heavy shoulder pressing movement then the following day I would prioritise a heavy squat movement. Then I would keep rotating this cycle. This way your lower back isn’t getting hammered every day it’s getting a little rest inbetween loading.

Good morning guys! Had a pretty SHIT leg workout yday. Weather was shit to begin with! Started with Lying DB curls which actually were great! Done a loading set then another loading set followed by 2 rest pauses and my hammys were beat from that already. Started to squat my knees were not responding so I just done 3 sets of 6 at 120kg. Moved onto some DB RDLs pretty light just focusing on squeezing and contracting then I got called to work. Got in late from work and ordered a Kokoro, watched a film and went to bed! Rest day today hoping to get out and do a bike ride or something! Weather seems better hopefully that will lift my mood! Is everyone getting on ok mentally during this period? Are you guys at home alone? With partners? Family?

Heyyyy everyone!! The weather was pretty shit yesterday but managed to get a good upper session going! Bit more shoukder dominant that my push workouts I do on Mondays which I have made a bit more chest dominant! Got home chilled got my meals in banged a few films on. Got to about 11pm and I was starving hungry so I order a German Doner Kebab chicken meat with chips it was pretty good to be fair not really greasy at all like a normal kebab. Slapped that down and hit the sack! Weather doesn’t look great again today but hoping to hit legs this afternoon!

Hi Rhodri, how have your resistance training sessions been in comparison to your workouts when the gyms were open? Just to confirm you have double your cardio since the quarantine? This will add stress to your body which could release some water also. Was it a gradual increase? Or straight away?

Good morning everyone! Had a rest day yday! Work was pretty busy and I had a lot of errands to run and done a massage food shop in the evening! Got in late so ordered in some Mexican food which was pretty good! Watched a film and went to bed! Woke up pretty tired this morning gonna get a few meals in and hit a full upper body session! How do you guys usually hit full upper sessions if you do so?

Morning guys, ended up running 5.6k yesterday morning! Haven’t ran for like 6 years apart from a little on the rugby pitch! Legs felt really sore during but got home and stretched and went out to work! Popped in to see big @timaspinall to drop him off some dumbells to help him with his home workouts! Trained legs in the late afternoon which was fine actually my legs felt ok my lower back was a bit sore. Loaded RDLs which felt heavy but good. Along which a bunch of isolation movements and some paused squats a little lighter than usual. I was shattered in the evening so had my post workout meals and hit the hay!

Hey Louis, actually loving homeworkouts right now! missing the atmosphere of a proper gym, but going back to basics with a barbell and bench is pretty good! having 100kg of plates makes things good so can still progress nicely! came down to Cruise since my first timers comp was cancelled, holding just above maintenance cals of around 2750kcals – leg days at 3000kcals! how are you getting on with everything? has much changed for you?
Hi Hayden, pretty much the exact same pal I’ve got a barbell and luckily about 180kg of plates so I can still load certain movements it’s just exercise selection is a bit shit! Also yes very much so the atmosphere of the gym is really what I thrive on training in kings so really missing that! Same as you dropped calories slightly and dropped to cruise dose. No point pushing either of those if the stimulus from training isn’t the same!! What show was you aiming for? Mines been cancelled too. Stuck at peak offseason looking a bit soft!

That’s all we can do for now pal is just do as best we can with what we have!! Yeah it sucks the shows are cancelled but they will be rescheduled so should be ok! I was aiming for one of the 2bros shows in July! Lets see what happens with the reschulding if events!LouisMoylan

Hi Luke, are you talking in terms of food or how it might make you feel different? I’ve never ever tried so it’s hard to tell but there are many options out there in terms of food. Also plenty of vegan protein powders are out there on the market now and here at TrainedByJP Nutrition plan to bring one out also in the near future.

Good morning guys and girls!! Had a pretty good back workout yesterday! Got some good movements going didn’t load super heavy but really focused on contractions! Stomach felt really bloated for some reason so had my post workout shake then 1 meal and cut the last one and went to bed!! Going to go out for a run this morning then see if I’m still ok to hit legs this afternoon!

Hi Adam, I personally believe so yes! If your not stimulating the muscle with the right resistance and your not feeding your body enough calories your muscle has no reason to stay around. I would uo calories slightly and try get some weights to use if possible,
