Hey everyone! Had a fairly decent shoulder and chest workout yesterday which I will post below, mainly DB stuff but managed to do a little barbel stuff too! Popped to work after then straight home to eat my meals. Woke up at 95.1kgs this morning. Hoping to try get a little back workout going today. Not sure on exercise selection but I’ll make it work.

Hi Dean, as much as you can really. I think most people’s home workouts are going to be quite limited so the more kit you can afford the more variety you’ll be able to put into those workouts. I’ve got a barbell with around 150kgs of plates and a few light dumbells so I’m quite lucky but even with that my options are still limited compared to training in the gym!

Morning guys, rest day yesterday. Didn’t do much. Layed about the house all day. Went for a walk in the afternoon then chilled in the evening. Fasted weight was 95.4kgs. Gonna try hit some Delts and chest today after work!

Hi Aaron, it depends how intense you can make your home workouts. If your having a half decent workout I would definitely eat more food than rest day diet. Probably less than you’d eat with regular training but definitely more than full test nutrition.

Morning everyone, had a semi successful attempt at leg day yesterday! Done some very close step walking DB lunges, 5 sets to get warm as it was very very cold out! Done some DB Wall Hacks and then got the wheely bins out for some squats! Knees were very very hard to keep warm so it was a real struggle. Followed on with some lying DB curls and called it a day because it was too cold and my knees were shattered! Rested until he evening and woke up at 95.1kgs fasted.

    Hi Louis.
How is everything going over there with the lockdown? Still possible to train over there? Hope you and your friends/family are same mate!!

Hi Tom, training is very limited in the garden with a barbell and a few plates. Just doing what I can but without access to a gym it’s not easy!! Food isn’t too much a problem at the moment but work is very quiet also. How’s things your end buddy?

    Same over here Louis.
I’ve got a bench from a friend and some old weights from me when I started lifting at home. (Thank god I didn’t trow them away????) food is just the same as before, the only problem is to get rice… every store we went trough they’re sold out in rice… (why is everyone buying rice these days… f*ckers) and work is at 50% now. Only 1 jobsite running. The rest is closed and office work is also a lot more quiet.. but it is what it is. The goverment locked Belgium down till 19th of april. Will see what happen after that.
    Stay safe everyone! [/quote]
Hey buddy, your pretty equipped. Can’t complain just need to get on with it isn’t it! Rice is ok here I usually buy 25kg bags of rice so I haven’t even needed to buy any! Keep working hard pal and stay safe!

Hi Ryan, I’m with hilly on this one! Keep fluid high. Try and consume food sources that give you more bang for your buck like potatoes for carbs etc. That way you can get more volume in with slightly less calories. Add in plenty of veg also. Fats can also help with this.

Morning everyone, had a little back workout yesterday. Managed to find some local scaffolding so done 50 pull ups on that, then back to the garden for single arm rows, Dumbell probably only 30/35kgs so too light for me so done 3 sets of 20 slow which was even still too light lol then moved on to barbell rows over 3 sets then underhand 3 sets and finished off on some pullovers. As you can tell from my face in the pic. Not impressed lol! Fasted weight was 94.6kgs. Going to attempt legs again today try get the wheely bins out lol!

Hey buddy, have to agree with jimmy on this one! It is great cardio but it’s hard to be consistent with it. Which is probably why it isn’t widely used as cardio in bodybuilding. We tend to use cardio in low intensity form and this could be deemed as higher intensity.

Hey guys and girls!! Managed to get a half decent shoulder workout in yesterday! All doable from the garden. Started with DB front raises, DB side lateral raises, DB Rear Lateral raises, seated BB military press and finished with some flat bb bench press. Pretty decent workout but still not the same as being in the gym! Fasted weight was 94.5kgs so it’s slowly coming down!

Hi Pepin, it’s not easy at the moment as you have a lot of variables with regard to training and your energy output. Realistically you need to judge yourself how intense your home training is and adjust your calorie intake accordingly and monitor changes in your body frequently and keep adjusting until you get to a steady state for maintenance.

Heyyy Corinne, yes he actually wanted me on a 6 day split but work wise it wasn’t really working so had to scale back to 5 days. He wanted me to keep my upper body workouts more split up because he wants my upper body bigger. I decided to go with Justin just because we are friends and one day he just told me he’d like to get me ready for my next show so I just said ok lol as I’ve never had a coach before obviously James helped me a lot over the years. So I thought I’d give it a go. We get in really well which I think is important when choosing a coach. Obviously it’s hard to tell beforehand but lucky I knew him long before haha!
